It's really an epidemic, wide out in the open for all to see the guts and gore. Celebrities don't have the luxury of anonymity, although neither do we when we get bad. (work finds out, friends find out, checks bounce, DWIs, etc) The problem is that nobody thinks it can happen to them. They will never be "that" kind of alcoholic. Even as it progresses, we don't realize how bad we are getting, and then we are too busy hiding it, covering it up, defending it, projecting it, excusing it and rationalizing it to ACCEPT it. That we done f*cked up and we need help.
Addiction is such a sneaky SOB.
