OK, about my trip. I was fun to dress up and see every one. I havd four glasses of wine and STOPPED. That was amazing in itself....but I knew I was at a work function.
That being said, I was glad to get home. I just don't enjoy travelling anymore unless it's with my family. I am turning into a grumpy old fart!!!

Grate, I just keep forgetting to mail the book. You did not have to send anything; I've got a big mail shipment tomorrow to several places and I was going to get it ready today to go. You're right, I HAVE enjoyed it, but she's your treasure and you need it back. Gave me some good ideas for Christmas.
MB, you have to feel good about not get plastered, and just keep working on your restraint, not letting it get away from you, OK? I've never seen bulbs blooming in FL, unless they are tropical things. You might research that.
Just got ANOTHER message from bro wanting to swap me his swamp land for my portion of the by-pass property. I've given the swamp to son, so bro will just have to deal with it someway. I'll still have a say-so through son about the family land, but won't have to deal with brother. Sweet! Son is like Hubs, doesn't say much but doesn't roll over for anyone, so it's a win-win for both of us, and especially Hubs since he won't have to keep up the place. Son loves the place, so it's a good thing.

Thanks, grate! :H I constantly do that for some reason! I've paid for daughter's things to be mailed to me from all over the country, usually her purse or wallet. I only know of one thing I've ever left somewhere, but don't want to brag too soon!
Sun, I LOVELOVELOVE the picture!!! You two beauties look alike already!! Let me know if I can post it, because it IS a great picture, and I can understand how you fell in love with her on sight. Sent my brother a nice e-mail back bursting his balloon. Hubs wouldn't care if I sold the place, but I'm not, since it's only a matter of 100 yards from a major interchange on the bypass, which is already being widened at it's starting point. It's not just keeping my bro from screwing me over, it's because down the road, since it doesn't cost me more than $500 a year, it could be a very lucrative piece of property for me to leave my children. Or pay for my retirement home. :H I just hate that he would try to do this, and believe I'm so gullible. Guess I'm taking MIL to Jack's BD party over the weekend and stay overnight.

Isn't it GREAT!? Another star in your crown, friend, but you'll get so much in return for what you give. I'm a big supporter of shelters and adoption, neuter and spaying, and responsible pet ownership. Hubs and I have sworn agreements from our family that our animals will be cared for when we're gone. Otherwise, I'll be on a mission to be sure they never get a good night's sleep again! :creepydude:

My last post today, promise. I read the national news on the computer each morning, and the big story was someone I've never heard of saying she was being targeted for a search in an airport. This crap makes me sick. Who the H are the Kardashians, Lohans, Hiltons, any of them. Gabby Gifford, and I don't know what party, was shot in the head 10 months ago, but she gets less, DEFINTELY less glamourous press than she does. She carried on a coherent conversation, expressing her love for her husband and family, being truly emotional. She's connected to everyone who suffered that day, and it's not for publicity. I get truly angry with the entertainment community who've been given SO much, and feel the need to give too little. I could quote so many stories (the guy from the Twilight series who just adopted a shelter dog). :dontagree: :soapbox2:
Sorry, friends. Since my TV is my only friend most days I see this crap our kids are being fed. And believing. If we're more experienced, older, we see where this leads. But our children think this is real life, or what to aspire to. Just angry right now. We seem to have lost something in the translation. And yes, I'm fine. Hubs is actually home!!

Decided to choose my battle and not bring up anything to daughter, found out that the false alarm comment on twitter was regarding something she thought she lost not about her period so..... Pheufff............ Love the dog. I hope all is okay with everyone. First day on Jenny Craig, I weighed in at 192.4 of Friday. Decided to wait until today to start because I had a full weekend with my older daughter. We spent the day in NYC looking at a medical school. 192.4 wow! My goal is 130, I will be eating jenny for a year!! Oh well I must do this, I hate the way I look.:bigcry::bigcry::bigcry:Gina

You can do it G. I'm (almost) 5'9, and was almost 215 at one time, several years ago. Lost 65 pounds, then broke every bone from my knee down and was either bedridden or in wheelchair over 6 months. Tried to starve, but sedintary weight came back (45#), so in the last year I'm down to less than I was at my low point a few years ago. I cook, a lot, but maybe I'm too busy or stressed to put on weight. Rarely sit down for a meal. First night Hubs has been home, and he's stormed upstairs. (His problem, I have no issues. I went in to try an sit with him a while, finally said I was coming back to the office since I don't watch what he does, and he went ballistic. (Anyone else out there allergic to sitcoms and laugh-tracks?). I know he's tired, so we'll be fine, but he knows he can't run over me because of his choices. Had him fresh bread and a spaghetti meal when he came in, coffee pot prepped for tomorrow, but he's as riled as a sore-tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Everyone tries to not get on his bad side but me, daughter, and his Mother. Took myself out of his equation, let him deal with it himself, if that's how he wants it. I'm fine. Pissed a bit at him, but fine, since I'm used to how he abuses himself working, after 41 years, and he knows he's reached his limit with me tonight. Anyhoo, tomorrow is another day, and he'll be kisses and roses after today, and I choose my battles. He needs to go to bed, since he's exhausted, and I know it. I'll get a good night's sleep, and hope he does too. The way he works is insane! Sorry for another rant. My last. Good night, friends. Hope all are well. I won't be here much tomorrow, errands to run.:h
