all fine here - which to be honest feels a little unfair, as Wellington is supposed to be the worst place in the country for earthquakes. However, it also means that building standards are really high to minimize risk, and I haven't even felt some of the recent ones. And the Regional Council has been much more insistent on compliance with building codes since the Feb 22 earthquake - there are a number of buildings that have been demolished since then (including my favourite cafe :upset
 , and an even larger number that have been given 18 months to come up to the most up-to-date building code standard.
