The kids have 4 days off and my tax refund did not come like I had hoped so guess we will just hang out here. I have to go to work but was nice not to have to get up at 5 a.m. My yard is a mess maybe I will clean it up like T is doing. Your next project sounds fun T I need a new project.....sounds like you had a good time eating out Fenn.....Nora why dont you move up there? I think it would be wonderful to live near family, and Oregon is beautiful...Rubes glad you have made all appointments....Sun have a good day at work...oh no do I really have to go to work?

Morning, all. Well, it was morning at 3:30 AM when I woke, handled 3 problems, collected 2 rents (collected one yest for $1500!), talked with a couple more people, then took a nap. Now I have a crick in my neck. Seems I do a clopen every day of my life, Sun.
Talked to the bad dog owner yesterday, and he is a good guy. I warned him that I have no responsibility if and when his dogs bite, but if I get one more complaint, they're out. He was terribly contrite (much of the fault i believe is on his wife, who isn't terribly stable), and he told me he was SO embarrassed I had to call him. Said he'd told wife her dogs were going to get them kicked out of the best place they'd ever live, promised to remedy the situation. I also pointed out, since my son was on his property, if he'd had his girls with him he would have shot the dogs without compunction, and my mountain man cousin on the other side of the property would do the same.We both agreed neither of us want his dogs hurt, but people come first. He didn't know how far they had ranged, how many people have complained, and I believe he means to take care of the situation. I told him my son is a quiet, composed, and reasonable man, and he agreed if he were in the same situation he'd probably have shot the dogs himself. So, hopefully, a resolution is reached.
The money I collected was from a renter who right after Christmas had a domestic disturbance problem, and her husband is in treatment, monitored, and not living on the property but working toward a resolution. While I told her I was happy things were looking up, I also told her one more incident and they were out. Always something, and I'm getting to be a bad mamajama!! :H
Everyone else is paid up, or have arrangements soon to do so. It's not 'found' money; it goes toward the cost of the property itself, so don't think I'm flush with disposable cash.
Still hoping to get to Boston in May, depending on my health and other stuff. I'll fly up alone, or Hubs and I will rent a big van and take the grands on an educational and fun family road trip. I love these cousins; their mother was Italian and they do things in a grand, fun way. We made the same trip once when our kids were young, and it was a blast. Mountains, caves in Kentucky, Statue of Liberty, New York City, lobster on the beach in Maine (cold as rip ocean in July!) - things the kids will learn from and remember. Will be hard to corral them all, but I'll try.

Fen, WOW! You did a large thing, didn't you, hon? I know your mom and Mrs. enjoyed their luxe night out, and you could come home from it without any guilt except your pocketbook! :H
Coco, it's so wonderful to have you here checking in. How are YOU doing? You are such a strong person, and always a funny joy to hear from.
Sun, I really don't know how you do it. Really, no joke. Why do you think I have nightmares about work?? One of Hub's old friends and co-workers is close to me on Facebook, and when I told him about Hub's promotion, (friend retired years ago, lives in Florida and rides his motorcycle everywhere!) he told me he believed Hubs loves his work. I agree. No matter how much he complains, he identifies with it. Keeps him off the streets, I guess. Hope you get more time off when this 6 is over, friend.
Rog, come clean my back and front yard! I told you all these buildings are full of treasures and trash, and it all needs to go. I can't make it through my whole house cleaning, much less outside.
I made TMB sit outside the gate and watch me feed and play with Ninny yest. She whined and cried, acting so pitiful, but I reminded her why she was on probation. Sadie was inside, jumping and running. Hope TMB got the message!!
Tony, if your shopping for couches, get a good one to sleep on. Happens to the best of us, Buddy!
GOT to get myself more motivated, get out, do things. Once I get through this round of appts at least I won't have that hanging over my head (unless they make me have more tests). I'm WAY past due for a heart check-up, so I'll talk to doc and schedule it just to be done. Will also be sure to ask if they've found the Fountain of Youth yet.
Vick, Kelly, Biz, Swannie, all who are so quiet, I'd love to hear from you. So many people post how much they enjoy my and others posts here. Well, we love to hear from you too. And we deeply miss you. I hate feeling like I'm talking to myself or boring everyone else!
Oh, and Sun, hope my definition of an 'oyster shucker' was sufficient. I COULD post a video, but it looks like a torture device in this situation. (I actually got the idea for the conversation in "Something About Mary"!!'

Jan, I have Alfred Hitchcock Hour on automatic record each night. Yes, cheesy, but when you see the big stars, young, it's great! The one that scared me was the Boris Karloff show.Always ended badly for someone!
Called Kelly and chastised her, and Vicki, for abandoning us. Kell is STILL working at that impossible job so she got a good tongue-lashing from me. Vick is doing well, she says, concentrating on her health and her Bible studies. Still, I told her we miss them. Kell has the funeral tomorrow, keeping Addie and the friend's daughter tonight for visitation at the funeral home. Such a sad event, but Kelly is always right there to help where needed. Her husband needs another surgery, too.
When I cooked up a tortellini casserole last night (which Hubs did NOT like, but it was great), I cooked half and put the other half in a disposable pan. Tay's here, heating it up for her and JC. Weather may be bad tomorrow night (be careful, Bird, worse down there it says) so Tay says she'll be spending the night here. Have no idea when Hubs will be home tonight. He fired 1 person today for sexual harassment, another for drugs, but that didn't bother him too much since he said they deserved it. Had to fire one last week for incompetancy, and his son works there too. Hubs says the father is showing signs of dementia or Alzhiemers, and talked to the son about the situation. That bothered him a lot, since the man had always been such a good employee. There but for the Grace of God. Hub's only mental condition is being himself!! :H
