Army Thread 20th February
Tee hee hee, you should have seen us trying to get the sunglasses out of Bess' mouth. We were frantic and watching Mr JC trying to glue them back together was achingly funny.
It's been a canny day. Did a lot of Mammy stuff for me daughter this morning. Made her breakie and a packed lunch. Ironed her uniform. Gawd you'd think she was 10 not 25 but we enjoyed it.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Evening folks, Cy posted a thread today about a program on BBC in half an hour that might be worth watching;

Jan said she was gonna check back in today about the people coming over to talk to her about ollie, anyone know if she has popped bk on to let us know how shes doing?I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.

Pinky I didnt choose to be an alkie but it is what it is. I truly believe we cant move on until we accept what we are. Not for one minute saying you are, ultimately only you know what your relationship with AL is, I am just speaking personally here. After acceptance come the relief from the constant battle. In AA it is step one 'We admitted we were powerless over alcohol, that our lives had become unmanageable.' In my case once the drinking started it was a daily occurrence 365 days a year.
