HapPy Easter folks!! I have cooked from noon Friday until my sister and her pig pen brood left a few minutes ago-- I am ready to collapse-- and it was southern food all the way-- she never learned to make it from our mom or nanny so I make it when she comes. I did feel a bit like a maid though... I have 20 weeks 3 days until Ireland/London so no more Southern feasts for awhile.

So sorry you are having a tough time MB. Frankly I wish I could drink at times too but it's not how I act or what happens-- its how I feel about it every time-- just never gonna change-- but I know the feeling well -- wishing it was different and having those feelings.

Ruby-- I am so sorry for your pain. You already have so much to deal with. I am keeping my trap shut! I may be with MB about the dog. I might would have had to have been restrained from hurting that dog after your fall!

Mama, you hang in there! Sometimes a fake beer makes me feel a bit celebratory. Mostly, I would avoid a place that's serving A, though. One time when I quit a year ago, Mrs. Fen took me to the only theater in town that serves alcohol! It did suck.

Awwwwwwwwww, just heard about Thomas Kinkade's passing. He was such a talented artist! I heard he had a problem with AL, hope that it wasn't the cause of the world losing him so young. I really do hate the damage that AL has done to so many lives... RIP. Thomas Kinkade.

ATL - Wow! You overdo it so much. :h Just like so many others on here. Not me though. :H

I have slept almost all day. Woke up and played a game of croquet with my hubby and got on the exercise bike for 5 minutes. I am such a slug that I'm starting out doing 5 minutes at a time and will work back up to the 30-60 minutes that I was doing a couple years ago. I'll get back on in a little bit. Going to have to find clothes hangers for all those clothes I had on it though. :H

Fen - amazing arrowhead!!! What a find. What symptoms are you having? You need to be VERY careful with that. Sonny had it when he was 9 or 10 and it took 3 days before they figured out what it was.

Mama - have a great time at Nana's. Glad that you took care of yourself today. :l

Ruby - Please, please take it easy. I hope that you can get into an orthopedic dr tomorrow.

Well - hopefully Casey can get off work early and come over to dye Easter Eggs with Scott & me. That will be fun. We always had my niece & nephew here for Easter until the moved so we're a little melancholy today.

G, I'd heard about that. He was known as 'The Painter of Light'. So many people bought his products in one shape or another. I admired his work so much I painted one of his Christmas scenes for a friend, in miniature. I worked with her at the time, and I gave my close friends all a miniature. To this day, if I run into Corille, she goes on and on about what a treasure it is, and and all her friends admire it. That makes me proud, even if I WAS stealing his idea. I'll never be a competition to his legacy and works.
Nora, I'm confident I can get in with the doc who finally fixed my leg and foot, except for the stuff that can't be fixed. Thanks for the concern, but I'll live, I hope. Tay's coming to spend the day here to help me get through this jungle the house has become. Hubs keeps demanding I sit down, but I HAVE to wash some clothes. He doesn't have any panties left! :H

Wow, that's so sad about Thomas Kinkade! I get my mom jigsaw puzzles of his scenes, as she loves them. :upset:

I was having a lot of pain around my navel when I woke up. Lasted until about two o'clock this afternoon. Couldn't stand up straight. Finally managed to leave me, but I was getting a bit scared.

The arrowhead was a great find. As you can see, the tip is gone, but still...Mrs. Fen and I were on a horse trail, and it hasn't been used in ages. Midway through, there was a massive rock formation, and I was drawn to it. We had a picnic lunch next to it, and I climbed to the base of it and began going around it. As it was primarily sandstone, I was shocked that there were no names carved into it, or graffiti or trash anywhere. I came across a place where there were tons of chert flecks...kicked around and there it was! Makes sense that peeps hundreds or thousands of years ago would have been drawn to such a magnificent place, just as I was yesterday.

So great Fen. I LOVE big rocks, and the cabin is loaded with them. So glad I told them not to move a certain group of rocks. Turns out it had carvings on it nearly 200 years old!

Yes, the human "collective memory" or experience or whatever never ceases to amaze me. When I pick up that projectile point, I can't help but wonder who crafted it? What was his/her name? How long did they live?

Are there artifacts near your cabin, Rubes? If so, I will spend hours scouring the place! :H We can set you up in a lawn chair while I do my thing. Mrs. Fen is too impatient to let me wander on my own for too long, but it's my favorite thing.

That arrowhead was cool! I have that pain around the belly button sometime-- what is that? I thought it wad being a fatso-- but you are tiny Fen!! A lime on the head-- I am trying that-- it cannot hurt!

MB-- I have a fake beer called a Klaustenfelter (sp) sometimes -- it is a German thing and it is good-- tastes real. I get it about the courtship and hanging out having drinks-- it was not big with us but it was something we enjoyed just to hang with each other talking and having a bottle of champagne while talking and listening to music or something and like Bret-- Mark will take it out of the house but I know it is my issue- I have to deal with it myself or it will just cause problems. Lately he has been drinking less to drop weight so I see it even less-- but it has been awhile anyway-- I just struggle so with my size now and I can't get right with that because it is not healthy to be 40 lbs overweight. Like so many of us are stuck on the drinking or not here I am stuck on the same thing with the weight. The day one type thing ...

Luke gets that extra day due to catholic school tomorrow so we are going to plan something to do -- about to go cook a filet and watch Game of Thrones hopefully no horrid headaches since hubs is out 3 days next week.
