Just wait until you get over here, FF. Our local high street is full of charity shops and banks. In fact I don't think we've got any normal shops left at all.
Going to have an early night.
Early start tomorrow morning. Nighters :l

I've clearly disappointed some people by my decision to buy whisky last night and I wanted to explain it a little. It wasn't an impulsive decision driven by alcohol cravings, it was planned. I saw it as a necessary step to ensure that my future sobriety is properly grounded, so that I don't spend all my time wondering can I /can't I drink. My objective was to demonstrate to myself once and for all that I can't drink so that I can kick alcohol out of my life altogether. I'm not going to allow myself to go back down the slippery slope and I plan and fully expect to clock up another 3 months AF soon and then some.
Sorry, I have to go now but I wanted to reply to the well-intentioned posts quickly as I won't be back until late. Hope my explanation makes some kind of sense.Reccie, you didn't disappoint us. It's just that we've seen many people with some AF time under their belt who decided to have a drink to see what would happen or decided to try moderating and ended up drinking as much or more than before they went AF. We all love you to bits and don't want to see you go back to where you were. That is all. You made a calculated decision, saw that it wasn't for you and will continue to be AF. :goodjob:

Troopers, I've got to walk Freddo and then to bed. Sorry to leave abruptly once again but it's getting late in Stirly-world.
