Not really finding enough hours in the day to keep up with the thread. But I am in no way leaving the Army-it is still a lifeline for me . It'll be two years next month that I've been here. And you are all very dear to me-I must admit that I'm mainly an Army girl and don't venture out into the rest of MWO very often. Except for the Tigger and Piglet threads. Not going to say anything on that subject for the moment...
But I do read at least once everyday even if I don't post.

Rightio here we go.

Where do I start. The social life, well for the first few weeks that was really put on the back burner. Noooooooooo way was I risking my sobriety just so I could watch other people drink. To be honest the way I was drinking the next big social event I went to would be my own funeral.

Now I can go out for dinner, not an event that happens often these days as we're skint. A party. Posh frock and high heels a bit of dancing, I'm yer woman. The pub, I'll go to the pub but I'll go for a reason, a pub meal, a quiz, I might even take up pool if the opportunity arises but I'll not sit with me glass of water all night in a boozer listening to people getting wellied and well er talking shite by the end of it.

I never thought I'd do a hollingday without drinking but I've done two, in Ireland. You want to hear people say.....'You're going to Ireland and not drinking'. Next step is to have a bash at the sun, sea and sangria hollers but that might be a while coming as we can't afford it.
Cruises are well out as I'm frightened of ships.

When I went to AA it was amazing the info I picked up about other alcohol services in town. That's how I got meself a counsellor.
