One Step at a Time - October 2012

Sorry that there was more drama on here K9. :l

Mama - I'm worried about you too. You just don't seem yourself lately. :l

I do have to say how happy I am that Juja & Nurdl have joined in here. Is is wonderful to have such positive energy. :h

It was a LONG, LONG day at the surgeons office for Scott. He was running a couple hours behind. So, we waited & waited. Finally got in there & he has 2 hernias. Will set up the surgery for the next month or so. Out patient surgery. I was supposed to go back to work before my own Doctor's appointment but we didn't get out in time for me to get back to work. I called work & it sounded like a madhouse. :upset: So, tomorrow is going to be rough.
Anyway, I went to the pulmonary Dr and I do have sleep apnea. He thinks that once I start treating that, my depression will get better. That I will start feeling better all over. He was so helpful. He is putting in an order for a cpap machine. He looked at the sleep study that I did at home and he said that I was waking up 27 times an hour. I never went into a deep sleep. He explained how this was causing the depression, the loss of memory, the exhaustion. Just the overall horrible feeling. I almost started crying with relief from talking to someone that understood and seemed like he could help me. Anyway, I should get it in the next couple of weeks. So, maybe I'll start being more normal. Yeah right. :H

Ok - I'm off to try to sleep now. Wish me luck!

Thank you Nora. I hope you begin sleeping well soon. You must be exhausted physically and mentally with all that you have going on. Hang in there. All should be better soon. We've got each other here for support. Check in tomorrow!

        Hi Nora,
        do you remember me? It's,

        Play from the Topa thread,

I've never stopped in here before but I was just thinking about you tonight and remembered that you have your own thread so I looked you up. I'm so happy and relieved that you had a sleep study done and have found out how disrupted your sleep has been. I know that lack of sleep takes a Hugh toll on our lives, so hopefully you will be feeling like a new person after getting your CPap machine, and just make sure to get a mask that really fits and is comfortable for you, it might take some tweaking, but I know it will be totally awesome. They seem pretty wierd to sleep with:h but the good part is that you will finally sleep, YAY.

I'll try to keep track of you, I bet you will need about 24hrs of sleep catchup

        Love and hugs,

            Morning, glories.

Nora>Fantastic news about the sleep study. No new med to suffer through. Whew.

Playland>Welcome. Dearest Nora invited me here, and it's a safe place full of your regular, normal, AL-struggling human beings (no insult intended). No drama, egos, or hurt feelings that I've seen. I believe we would work it out, if there were.

I think I'm getting a cold, or else it's the last of the ragweed. Feel kinda crappy. I won't be breathing too well tomorrow as I start cleaning out my elderly parents' mildewed, moldy basement. Why, oh why, did I volunteer? Why must I always be the good girl? It's got to be done, that's why, and parents can't do it. Period. Soldier on!

Nurdl>Have I said hello to you? If not, forgive my rudeness, and hello!

            Love to all.:h

Hello all. I just joined MWO yesterday and this is my first post. I've been wandering around the site viewing various posts and in doing so I've noticed that no one seems to using the recommended products recommended by the Roberta Jewel and Dr. Garcia. Is this the case or have I just not dug deep enough?

Thanks for your reply Ms. Bear!
I'm a 61 year old male, a heavy drinker (vodka is the drink of choice) and also someone that take lots of prescription drugs.
I'm (for the most part) happily married, I have a decent job and a nice home. I have two kids from a previous marriage who are out of college and doing well on there own.
Right now dealing with the drinking is my first priority, but I want to deal with everything eventually. Yesterday I started looking for help on the internet and came across this site.
More specifically, I'm looking for a safe way to detox, given the whole picture.

I'm at work so can't talk now but I'll be back later. The supps really do help. I like the L-Glutamine.
