Army Thread Wednesday 7th August
By the way... when I bought the house it was awful inside. I laid the floors, ripped down walls and did all the work with the help of a handyman. It KEELS me to have to pay people to come in and do the glass block but I just don't reckon I can manage it. All the furniture and materials I got at bargain prices. Literally, found most of my furniture in the newspaper "for sale" column... :wow:

Zenners,
Thanks for the long chat. I get so lonely sometimes just here on the mountain by myself.
One of my husband's bosses owned a home where the guest bathroom was built using glass block walls. It used to bother me to go in there and use it when others were in the living room. I always kept the light off. :H:H
The glass wall does sound very nice in place of the plantation doors. I like the idea. Privacy but light still going through. Noice!!
Hi Army, Wave thingy here.

Mind you'll just have to struggle to get dressed under a towel like we did as kids on the beach when I'm not there.) I'm changed now.. thanks for guarding the door! :h
It was good to catch up Cindi...Yeah, there is a certain amount of privacy factor with the glass block but it's got to be better than the plantation shutters! I may end up just putting in regular dry wall but that brings other issues (apart from not having a window in there). Have to get the contractors out to take a lewk at it and bounce some ideas around with them.

Just watched 24 hours in A&E and now depressed in one way but grateful in another......
Shoulda been a doctor or nurse or summit me ...... they make such a difference to people's lives - even as far as helping someone die with some comfort & dignity.
