      Evening all,

Well you all know I :h my dawgs.

Do we call Satzuma, Reikibear now.

Puddles, we have a BBQ every year. Normally in June but of course with Sir Pee's hip wasn't an option this year. Just a ritual. The lads pay for a keg and we do the food. Mind you we used to have one on New Years Day, haven't done that one for a while.

If anyone touches my Pellegrino I shall poke them in the eye with a burnt sausage.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

I'm a cat person and I shall have one in a few years.
I used the Sinclair Method to beat my alcoholic drinking.

Drank within safe limits for almost 2 years

            Holy Crap!!!

Sir Pee has just arrived back from his Ma & Pa's with a box full of booze. Everything from a sherry oak barrelled Macallan to a bottle of Bailey's Irish cream.

Well that's me Chrimbo shopping done.

                Good evening

Love your avvie too, UKB. We have two gingers.

*** burp *** Dinner was lekker. Not fantastic, but good enough. Have a Magnum in the freezer for later. Mum enjoyed her evening out - she and my nephew shared a bottle of wine (1/3 &2/3 respectively). It was her 1st AL months. Rather funny when she admitted that it had gone to her head and asked for a supporting arm. :H. Her cheeks are all aglow.

Mrs. T and the cubs have rented a ppv movie, but not something I'm keen on.

Is Joey defo being kicked out, Molls?

We have an area in Cape Town we jokingly refer to the as the "lentil belt", Satzy - Reiki us de rigeur in those parts.
                I'll do whatever it takes

Sorry for buggering off there - needed a bath after my run and then had to head off to Lidl.

I agree, molls and peapie - if you're out at work all day, having a dog isn't likely to work out very well. When I was at work I never considered the possibility of having a dog - not because I didn't want one, but because I knew it wouldn't be fair on the dog.

InChains;1547626 wrote: dog sounds like a great idea reccie, reminds me of something in a book i read, anthony kiedis' autobiography - major drug addict through most of his life, one of the things he said made it easier was when he bought his dog, if he thought about using again he'd remind himself that the dog had never seen him high. thought that was a nice story.
Part of the reason why want to get a dog is that I'm hoping the duty of care I owe the dog will cause me to be much more responsible with my drinking, inchy, a bit like the drug addict in your book.

but i'm so shallow I hate hairs and poo and dog food .
I don't mind the poo (so long as it's not runny ) and the food satzy - have to deal with that every day with poppy and it's not a problem. Like you, I don't like the hairs much so I comb poppy twice a day and that helps enormously.

No, he's not deffo being kicked out --- but the rules now will probably mean he will want to go of his own accord. Always with my kids I was delighted to see their friends coming here --- well, delighted is prolly too strong a word for it - but happy that they WANTED to be here, if you know what I mean, but this lot????? No, the garage which is their choice place is completely off bounds now, we've locked it and taken the key --- and no one in the house at night, if he has a friend in it'll be literally during the day for a cuppa sort of visit ---- can't have that chaos happening around us - he doesn't know 'the rules' yet, we haven't had the chat ---- but enough is enough --- he's welcome to stay if he just wants to share our home, not to take it over.......... his social life needs to happen elsewhere
That sounds very fair and sensible molly - particularly the bit about sharing your home and not taking it over. You do have this wonderful knack of always coming up with a very commonsensical approach to every problem.

Just think of me still in the kit hen. Just the curry to do and some cup cakes to ice.

Thanks it was time for a new avatar, and a very appropriate one. Like the expression on this cat's face, sort of chilled but also strongly knowing.

I need to wait until there's a bit more of a change in my life. I did have a gorgeous ginger tabby some years ago, I left her with my Mum when I went back to uni and she got run over only a few months later. I had to get pissed to cry about her then I was blubbing about the cat in a flippin night club. How to deal with things the piss head way:upset::egad:

Watch out for Monday and Tuesday, I always found I could get through Bank Hols only to relax and celebrate the day afterwards. Getting a BH in AF and carrying on AF would be a great achievement Inchy.
