    I am so happy you spoke your peace politley and it was well received. Presentation is everything. Healing in relationships is an awesome thing and I think you did a great job!

    I will most definately say a prayer for your mom and her health.

      Thank-You xxx Nope, I honestly did not think I had it in me Noelle Thank-you for all the kind words of encouragement Cindi, Magic and Lucky I feel soo much of a weight off me, and straight after that conversation, I had a huge craving.. I was so happy and it seemed like the natural thing to do.... celebrate. I then took a deep breath and just enjoyed the relief and let it go. I hope that I'm blessed to be there for you all someday. I just love this place xxx I'm just soooo awake and should be asleep. Not a craving in sight though. Yahooo !!! As Magic says, To the Moon and Back Guys xxx

            Read this thread and have to say...so much of my own Mom/Daughter relationship came back. Congrats on picking up that phone. I do hope you have more healing chats with her. Unfortunately, my Mom has dementia and I will never close the loop of the physical and verbal abuse issues with her but now, older and wiser, I understand so much must have come from her childhood, the times, etc. I've just let it go and it appears you have. It allows me to sleep peacefully at night too!

                Wow, Indiamike, that is so sad that your Mom has dementia.. How sad... Yet, at the same time you have come to accept/realize that she was the way she was because of what she might have went through herself... I like to believe that every generation is a little bit better as a parent. (for the most part anyhow)

                So, today is cold and I just read on our local e-weather that we are in for yet another heavy snowfall. This comes with a warning and everything, so I suppose my laundry will have to be brought in off the line. I love drying clothes out on the line.
                Well, I had better go out and get them, and get all my barn chores done. Today I made a huge pot of pea soup with the ham bone and I wish I could send the smell to you all... yummm !!!

                Oh, and Bear, guess what !!?!!! On Saturday hubby and #2 son came home from the dump with an office chair... It has a tiny rip on the front of it, but it swivels, goes up and down and is super comfy !!! Yea, I don't have chair envy anymore !!! Giggle Giggle. Another persons trash is another persons treasure. Gotta Go, xxx Tomorrow is day 10 already !!!

                  Hi all,
                  Nibs that was a great conversation with your mom. I know it felt so good and congrats on 10 days. And your new chair. I have found alot of good stuff in the trash. We had a nice Easter day I hid eggs and my little one wanted to plant a garden. I decided if I moved the shed I wouldnt have to dig up the grass for the garden since it would al be dead under the shed so that took awhile to take everything out and move it and put it all back in. By the time we got around to the garden I was beat. Then we went to Home depot and got a little wire fence to keep the chickens out but the wires are too far apart and they just walk through it. I have to get ready to go to my kids play and then have my little mentee today. Glad everyone is sounding good.love bird

                    Mentee Bird? hmmmm... What is that a tea with the fellas?!? LOL
                    How nice it is to hear about someone planting a garden... I can hardly wait ! Our rototiller gave up on us after year in and year out repairing it... arggg.... It is sooo old, rebuilt etc. So I put an add in the freebees. We had a lady email us about a tiller that we will check out on Friday. To buy one new they are soo expensive, and you can buy alot of veggies for the price of one.

                    So today I had to go into work a bit early driving through a snow storm. It has stopped snowing now though... Hope everybody is having a great Tuesday Hugs, xxx

                      Good sunny morning everybody
                      Bear, your new avator of that guy passed out in the urinal in BRUTAL !!! Isn't Alcohol abuse lovely everybody ??? Ahhh,,, a nice cold 14 pack, popular with everybody.,. Sure everybody enjoyed your dancing on the table !!! Naturally you were the "life" of the 3 year old Birthday Party.... It's not your fault that somebody put that refridgerator against that wall and you fell right on top of gramma... ahhh, everybody is having as much fun as me... everybody has to have a little fun sometime... had such a tough week at work I deserve this...they sell the stuff don't they??? it's not illegal to get a bit tipsy for shittin' sakes !!!... and whammmmoo you are just like the fella in Bears avator... Not Nice !

                      So, I have the house to myself today YAAAHOOOO !!!! I get to crank up the stereo and do whatever I feel like... chicken is going on the woodstove with a sweet and sour sticky sauce served over herbed rice... Maybe a nice salad with the rest of the ham chopped up in it along with some cucumber, cheese etc... Have a wonderful day everybody and Hugs to go along with that xxxx

                        Bird - Any Antabuse side effects? I haven't had any at all except that I am actually sober.

                        Bear - Be careful painting the outside of the house. Make sure you don't set a ladder wrong and fall. Been there done that. Went and rented a scaffold the next day. :H

                          I'm good cindi. Thanks for he advice and caring. We have finished what we were going to paint, There is more to do, but we are going to get back busy inside the house for now. I am glad the antibuse is working for you and bird.

                          I miss Luv too. I hope she is ok.:upset:

                            Awww poor Bear I hope that this crud for you is gone ASAP !!!
                            I miss Luv and all her flowery thoughts during this time of year... Our house isn't complete without her... There isn't a day goes by that I don't send positive vibes to that gal of ours xxx Love her and miss her too...
                            She'll be back with bells on her toes.

                              Hi all,
                              Sorry you are sick bear. It is really going around here. Cindi I had a headache all day yesterday I think from eating hot sauce. Yes I miss Luv too. The thread just isnt the same. The kids have spring break next week. It will be nice to sleep in a little. Think we'll go down to the beach one day. The weather is great and all the flowers are blooming. I am working in my kids room today getting rid of alot of stuff they dont play with anymore. Tomorrow is planting day at school and I dread it. I hope alot of parents show up to help this year. 600 kids coming out to plant flowers and 3 adults is not good. See you later...love bird

                                If I was in your community Bird, I would be there with bells on my toes lending a hand at planting.. We had yet another small blizzard last night... argggg... Yet on the bright side, we will be looking at a rototiller while in town tomorrow... Spring has got to show up sooner or later and I'll be really ready !!! I work today, so I should fly and do my workout ahead of time. Seems I don't have the energy when I get home with chores& supperto do. I hope that everybody is well as we coast closer to the weekend and xxx
