In amongst all the experimentation that is going on in this thread at the moment, mr b has decided, after extensive googling, that Tawnys recommendation of Aerogard is the way to go for keeping mosquitoes off us at night . We are trying it for the first time tonight. Will let you know the results in the morning!!Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Morning pundits and punters everywhere,
Moving my old piano from storage to a friends garage today. It's too big to go up the outside staircase to my palace, so thankfully a friend has room in their garage. It's rather special too.
Have a ripper out there.

What a shame you can't have your piano with you Mr G.
Feeling a bit tired and crotchety this AM.
Might have another coffee and a bit of a meditate before unleashing myself on the unsuspecting world. If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Ok. Well, i was going for a jog in my 'hood a few years ago and noticed a house being renovated and a piano on the porch with a tarp over it. For some reason i thought it looked lonely, so i knocked on the door and asked if it was wanted or not. The woman who answered the door recognised me from a gig i'd played a year or so before, that she attended with her old mum for mum's birthday. I remember her mum, but apparently i was dedicating most of our set to her mum for her birthday ( i was drinking heavily back then). Well, the woman told me her mum was rapt, and had a great night. She then told me her mum had passed away since, and that the piano was her's and the family didn't use it anymore. I encouraged her to keep the piano in the family, but she said nah, we're considering selling it. So, i said i'm interested, how much etc......She said she'd discuss the sale with the family and asked me to come back in a few days. I did, and $100 later it was mine. The woman said that her mum would be happy that the piano went to me. I can never get rid of it now. What history. Also, it's one of the few Oz made piano's. It's a Beale.byebyebridgetjones;1577003 wrote: Come on then, cheer us up....

Hellllooooo everyone!
Party day here. My final year students have passed (well most) and are heading off on their journey to Dr Land. Oh bless!!!
In my smokin' hot electric blue dress. Smokey eyes, killer heels and gold(ish) lips. Yep - I'm going for the pole dancer look today.
Already I've had a fight with a florist. Delivered a $100 bunch of dead flowers. WTF - could be because of Halloween?? Whatever the reason me no want 'em. Florist screaming at me saying she doesn't grow the bloody flowers....AND her brother will NOT get out of bed to drive a new bunch to us.... And - which part of all of that is MY problem???? She's just dropped off another live bunch! Humph!
Have a bewdiful day everyone.
Salute to Mr G.
Huge, totz huge respect to our Tawny - whom we lurve but keep it secret 'cos she hates mushy stuff - a lot!
MWAHIt is not what we do, but how much love we put into the doing.

Lawdy nice one, what do you do for a living!!?? Teach medical students in killer heels???
Well undies i just need to vent for a bit. I am so ANXIOUS atm. Waking up close to panic every day, which exhaust me. Terrified of the future,of whether I've made the right decision to leave my marriage. Terrified of the financial un certainty. I know that it's because I've forgotten my meds for a few weeks, back on them now but it'll take a few weeks to get back up to good levels.
But it's so horrible to feel like this every day. I almost want to go back into hospital to get some stability back.
There, I've said my piece.
Nice story about the piano,g bloke.
Sorry guys.

Happs darling, make your own. It's fresher, about a tenth the cost and you can put in the spices you want.myhappyplace;1576539 wrote:
It was so good, I've just jumped online and ordered some to be delivered. And a chai tea pot. So exciting. I'm beside myself :H
I've been making my own chai for years.
Would you like me to send you some?
