Mmm...I'm not sure about the loving stuff. I don't think he's coming up to see how I am. I think that he's just decided he needs to get out and we're the best way to do that. Fair enough.

Roos bounce into spring :-)
Morning Glassy, morning Undies.
The sun has FINALLY come out....and there are no clouds on the horizon. I'll just pop a load of washing on the line & see if they roll in again. It's been about 3weeks now of rain/drizzle/rain and I am over it. I love the rain, but enough now :thanks:
In other news it is Springtime and we are heading to the Gold Coast in a couple of weeks with the outlaws. I'm totally underwhelmed at the prospect. But they & Mr Cakes, being Kiwis and holding the Gold Coast in their hearts like Mecca, are TOTES EXCITEMENT *sigh*
I really need to get on board - I will get to spend the week with the family, and not worry about the dailys at home...and stand in queues all week to pay exorbitant prices for a shitty hotdog. OK that's enough whinging from me....working on gratitude.
I'll go see James now, that'll fix me.Formerly Angelcakes, new name, new attitude.

I'm with you Angel .... I've never understood the NZ obsession with the Gold Coast. I like Northern Q'land though. I reckon the most stunning part of Australia is the Kimberley/Pilbara area though. And of course there is lots of Australia that I have yet to see!!! Looking forward to Byron Bay next weekend
Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Cakes just make sure they stand in a lot of lines in the sun and pay a lot of bucks and ensure that the children are manic on red drink whilst this is all happening.
This may guarantee no repeat visit.
Sorry that's all I've got.....If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Arvo Undies...yep at the Goldie on the weekend Cakes. It's not too bad in the morning for a couple of hours. That's as much as we do. Trying to convince a locust not to do schoolies there at the moment. Its a nightmare...The beaches south of the main drag can be nice though and its even better if you pop just over the border
which is then NOT the Gold Coast

I think schoolies needs to be disbanded or at least diversified. Like a new wave of schoolies who have a fantastic adventure helping in an orphanage in Asia. Then come back a well rounded renaissance person, stick it in their resumes and stop acting like such first world arseholes.
Do you think it will catch on?If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
