    Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...

Another 24 hours please & thank you.

Dill, I hope your water issues are soon resolved. Cowboy is right in saying that warnings or warning labels are attached to cover possible legal issues. The world was better off I think before people got law suit crazy.

We had a long day yesterday, finally getting to our hotel room around 11pm but the trip was safe. This holiday was the first in many years where alcohol was not a part, or big part, of it. And it felt good.

I’m going to ask our travel agent to see if she can find a destination for us next year that excludes alcohol. We did bring back 5 bottles with us though. Of Mexican vanilla. Best.Vanilla.Ever!

Slo, we were certainly conscious of corona and other possible health risks while we were away. We went through a couple of packages of sterile wipes cleaning tables, trays and other things touched by many. I was surprised that we didn’t see anyone wearing face masks anywhere.

Off to brekkie, then pick up Jessie and home.

Have a great af Thursday everyone!

Another 24 please, 9:15 in Calgary and it is going up to +7C today!

QW, way to go on staying sober on your holiday. This will be the first of many sober trips for you, right? I am with you on the vanilla from Mexico.

      Have a good one everyone.

Friday morning already! Time seems to by flying by lately! Talking of coronavirus I’m surprised at the gym how many people don’t even bother to clean the machines. With just the flu and other germs and now coronavirus , how can people be so careless? Or maybe it’s more like lazy!! I have started bringing my own container of Lysol wipes and wipe the machines before and after. I’m taking no chances!! Glad your trip was a success QW. Slo, enjoy holding your grandson today, Dill, good luck on the well. Hopefully it will test ok on the next go round. Ginger , enjoy the rest of your time with your sisters. Hi to Cowboy, Jude. Narilly, Pauly and anyone else I missed! Another 24 for me please and thank you.

Yesterday's quote put a smile on my face, Cowboy! Thanks for that. And thanks for today's reminder to practice gratitude. It's easy to forget that sometimes.

Ginger the water was tested out by the pressure tank so the faucets were not involved. However, on this go round we ran the bleached water thru all the plumbing inside and outside the house and let it sit for 12 before flushing it out. Thanks for mentioning your faucet problem. We are scheduled for another test on the 25th. Fingers crossed.

I imagine the coronavirus is impacting the travel and tourism business globally and will do so for a while.

I'm glad you and Mrs. QW had a good trip, QW.

24 more please and thank you.
              Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

6:10 am in Vegas another 24,QW an alcohol free resort would be great! That way people could easily avoid it, not have to deal with drunks, etc I wonder if there is such a resort? Rava, I spray my chair and surroundings with Lysol after each customer, I have too many people who are sick or just over being sick coming in for a haircut to"make them feel better"! Drives me bananas, waves to the gang and wishes for a wonderful AF day!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, Dill. Here in WA state, the water is pulled directly from the well by the driller after the 2 hour flush. If it fails, they shut the job down. Not sure what happens then because ours passed. I guess they'd have made us add a purification system. Who knows!

Another fun filled day with my sisters. Waves to all of you. Stay warm!!

I'll take another 24, please and thank you!

Another 24 hours please & thank you.

Nice to be getting back into routine after a great holiday. Jessie slept for most of yesterday but managed to wake up to go for a walk!

We usually find a way to thank our travel agent for looking after our trip arrangements. In the past we’ve given her a bottle of wine , this year it’s a bottle of vanilla since she too has given up al. I know I could look after the travel arrangements online myself but I like knowing if we’re out of the country and have a problem, she’ll be at the other end of the phone. I’ll deliver that this morning plus do some banking. We have an account that we haven’t used in 2 years so unless I make a transaction they’ll levy a fee. It’s no wonder they make over $1 billion a month, and thanks to job cuts, provide less service. I escaped that industry over 20 years ago but often find I know more than current employees.

First things first though. Time for Jessie’s morning meander.

Have a great af Friday everyone.

Your dog is tired out from her “vacation” too, QW!
I love vanilla from Mexico, and my last big bottle recently ran out. That is the perfect gift idea for your travel agent! She will likely appreciate that much more than a bottle of tequila.
You seem to know a lot about the unsavory side of banking, from your insider’s perspective, QW.

Besides the tanning bed stuff, I started on a bunch of new supplements last week to help along my vitamin A detox: vitamin E, vitamin K, Molybdenum, Selenium, and Zinc; plus increased the magnesium spray. And added a cup of beans or lentils daily, and increased whole grains; both to supply vitamin B1. So no wonder I have been completely wiped out & sluggish! That’s a lot of changes to bring on board at once. Luckily Beckett had a super sleepy day too, the day I stayed with him.

Off to daughter’s swim meet soon; just one long race tonight. Maybe I can get a Fish Fry out of this afterwards! But no booze for me this day.

Slo, that's a boatload of supplements! Do you take them under a specialists care or do you research and do it on your own? I hope you level out and get back to a good energy level soon. I'm looking forward to Lent starting and all the Friday fish offerings. It's so ironic that the custom was started as a sacrifice, eating fish instead of meat. How things have changed!

Ginger, I hope I don't have to find out what happens if the well fails all tests! But I think installing a whole house filter would be cheaper than drilling yet another well.

We are off to a funeral this morning for the grandkids great grandfather on the maternal side. Growing up in an Irish/Catholic family environment, gatherings after wakes and funerals always involved a lot of drink. I'm glad that's in the past now. Today's event will not likely include alcohol at any point.

24 more please and thank you.
