Another 24 hours please & thank you.

We’re expecting a major winter storm in the next few days, a good reason to stay home and avoid crowds. This Covid19 virus is going to show how well we are prepared, or nor prepared, to deal with a global event like this.

A few years ago I wanted to invest in our favourite airline but our financial planner talked me out of it because in an economic downturn, travel related businesses are among the first to suffer. The current economic catastrophe proves she was right! Mrs QW and I were fortunate to have had our winter escape to Mexico. Our son, d-i-l and grandkids have cancelled their winter escape plans. Mrs QW’s sister cancelled her plans to visit (not everything to do with Covid19 is bad!!!)

Day 5 and as a drinker this is when I will get super excited for the one night of drinking that would lead to al induced insomina. Sometimes I would get only an hour of sleep or if I get lucky 2-3 hours before waking up and sometimes if I am luckier I fall back to sleep for another 1-2 hours. Now I will be able to sleep through the night and be bright and alert for church.

I hate AL and wish I never drank let alone drank again after 7 happy sober years.

Good morning and yay for day 5 Drifty. Hopefully your sleep will be returning to normal very soon. Since you have already had 7 years you know what’s ahead. This coronavirus panic is off the charts here. No toilet paper, hand sanitizer, or lysol wipes anywhere. I’m being careful but not losing my mind here. Hand washing and staying away from crowds is really all we can do. I’m also turning off the news because thats all they talk about here and it makes people worse. Today I’m heading to the beach to finish a book I started. Hope everyone has a wonderful and sober day. Another 24 for me please and thank you.

6:02 am in Vegas another 24,I wasn't too worried about the coronaviris at first but with all these cancellations and shut downs going on it's starting to feel kinda creepy, lots of cancelled concerts, Disneyland shut down, some casinos closed their buffets(not like I go but still) what's next? Just worried people are gonna hole up at home and I'll go broke if they're not getting haircuts

It's crazy around here too. I still don't understand the run on toilet paper! Stocking up on food, medicine, water, I get but TP? Humans are strange creatures.

The weather forecast was right, it’s winter out there. Good day to stay inside although going to the beach to read would be a nice alternative.

I too am getting a bit concerned over this pandemic but thought I’d share this gem I saw online this morning. “The World HealthOrganization has announced that dogs cannot contract Covid-19. Dogs previously held in quarantine can now be released . To be clear WHO let the dogs out!”

I’m sure Hank just did his business and scurried right back in with that kind of weather, Cowboy. It’s nice enough here, and I have two dogs to get out for a little walk this morning (dog-sitting for D2/SIL2 while they’re in Vegas).

Hope you had a pleasant day at the beach with your new Florida friend, Rava, and another relaxing one today, away from the panic in the stores.
I am completely puzzled by the run on toilet paper too! Just bizarre copy-cat behavior I guess.

I got a massage yesterday, and found out that their business is down and also people are canceling existing appointments because of COVID-19 fears. Why though?! It’s a sanitary place, and not at all crowded. I hate to see businesses suffering unnecessarily.

Well, good has come out of it, since QW doesn’t have to put up with an in-law visit now!

I had my last physical therapy appointment for my knee yesterday! Now I am ready to be on my own with my home exercises. Also had my last little 10-minute tanning session at the tanning salon to boost my vitamin D level, since the month that I paid for is up now. Those two visits, plus a massage!
I made pancakes with strawberries for dinner for 16 y/o daughter & me, and she entertains me with the TikTok videos that she deems the funniest! Plus I changed the bedding and cleaned our room, so I slept well in my clean sheets after that relaxing day!

Well, no confirmed cases of Convid in Vermilion, but there is one in Vegreville of all places!! With the amount of garlic consumed here, it’s a wonder any virus can survive! Not to make light of the current situation as it’s serious for all of us, and it’s consequences will be more far-reaching than just health as Pauly mentioned...

And I read this morning why there is such a buying frenzy on toilet paper; when one person coughs, 25 people around them *shit* their pants lol. Have a great day y’all and be extra cautious out there eh!
