Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...

Very cold this morning but I get to go to church hangover free. Trying to feel this feeling so next weekend which will be my hardest weekend I can remind myself of how I am feeling now and that can help me stay sober. That and you all. Pledging another 24 hours of no drinking.
I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

I’m first to the table, Cowboy! It looks delicious.

Thanks for all the great quotes to nourish my quit, QW! Especially “The chains of alcohol are too light to be felt until they’re too strong to be broken.” We’re on the right path; we got out!

And such a beautiful quote, Jude. Life won’t be so stormy with booze out of it.

Loved your calming beach view, Rava! Especially when it’s so gray & damp here.

I agree, Pauly! Damned if you do and damned if you don’t. I am glad our government is responding heavily to the infectious threat now.

That guy coming home from Vegas today after being at crowded casinos, convention, and airplanes better finally learn how to contain his coughs and sneezes. He just lets them go into the air! -despite my efforts to teach him to “elbow cough” if he can’t reach a tissue in time, for well over a decade now. It’s time to take it seriously.

Saw “The Call of the Wild” yesterday at the cinemas with daughter and sis-in-law. Got some takeout subs too, and ate at Five Guys burger place the day before that ....doing my little bit to keep the economy running!

Going for an AF Sunday today, with all of you. Hope you are having a lovely birthday weekend, Ginger.

Another 24 hours please & thank you.

Wonderful quote Jude. How we see clouds depends on us!

Drifty, well done on going to church unhung. And think how many more times you can enjoy it too!

I had an email from a friend asking if there was anything we needed, if there was anything she could do for us. And as I went out to shovel yesterday, our neighbour was almost finished our driveway. We’re so fortunate and appreciative! Kindnesses like these are going to be needed by lots of people while this virus is with us.

Be kind to yourselves, to others, and have a great af Sunday.

Happy belated Birthday Miss Ginger! The years do have a way of sneaking up on us!

So glad you made it to an unhung Sunday morning at Church, Drifty. I remember many a hungover Sunday morning and am so happy that is now in the rearview!

Thanks for an awesome breakfast, Cowboy!

We had our grandkids for an overnight on Friday. It didn't worry me so much but I did worry for Mr. D as he has a kidney condition. The risk even for community spread is still low in our area, but we will have to consider seriously before we have them again as time goes on.

24 more please and thank you.

Good morning. Nice quote Jude this morning. It seems like the corona virus pandemic is getting worse. It certainly is creepy going to the grocery store seeing people with gloves and masks on. This is certainly anxiety producing. This is not enough to make me drink tho. Another 24 for me please and thank you.

Great quote Jude58! It's not always easy letting go, but we do what we have to do to continue moving forward...

Things moved rapidly in Alberta yesterday, all schools, post-secondary educational institutes, and day care centres are all closed now. They anticipate them being closed until September! And this morning I read where most leisure and Rec Centres are all shut down as well. Not sure where it all will end, but we can just continue to be helpful and mindful, and move forward.
