Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...

Good morning and thanks guys for the words of encouragement. I know I don’t want to repeat my past mistakes. That’s why I’m here. I just wish somewhere along the line I knew when my desire to drink became a driven compulsion. Then maybe I could have addressed it earlier before it took over my life. UGH. I hope in my next life, I will be more normal! LOL. Retirement is another thing that is not helping due to the fact that I don’t have a plan or a schedule that keeps me straight. I hope everyone has a great day today. 24 for me today please and thank you.

Rava, retirement is one thing and a trick to deal with, but covid is entirely another and I think more difficult. People are struggling with the anxiety and the boredom with so many normal activities and outlets cut off. I know it's been a struggle for me. And I see so many people on TV joking about drinking, just as you suggested Mr. V. They make it sound like a good solution but to so many it is the worst.

Yes, I voted early too Mr. V. I never thought I would do that, but it seemed more logical than to go to a polling place. We actually requested absentee ballots, filled them out at home and then just dropped them off at the Board of Elections. No line, no hassle!

24 more for all of us, please and thank you.

I'll try and get some pics of the wildlife with my phone dill. So far we've seen white tail deer, mule deer, elk, moose, and even a momma bear with twin cubs! Surprised she's not in hibernation yet, and the cubs were big round fluffballs with all the fat they've put on for their long winter nap lol.

I agree Mr Vervill, we're quick to point fingers at the politicians over Covid, but there's little they can do about the disease, only the spending to try and help in various ways and to try and prevent the spread of the disease, but ultimately beating this thing will be up to the scientists, the medical profession, and each and everyone of us as individuals...

Yep Cowboy, it's up to us to have the common sense to help control the spread, unfortunately that means different things to different people, some people won't go out to eat, I do all the time, some people don't go to the store, I do all the time, if I liked going to casinos I'd probably go, just saying that maybe I take too many risks but I'm practicing my distance and wearing mask, I just don't wanna talk about it cuz I feel it's as heated as talking about the election, I see people jogging alone nobody around outside jogging with a mask on and I think they're ridiculous, so that just shows how different we all are and how opinions are so different about this too, Rava, you'll be fine there's alot going on right now and yes I have moments where I think I'm nuts for staying AF through all this! But I know my personal outcome is no bueno and that keeps me on track, also hate how they've made drinking seem so fun and silly, everyone jokes about drinking these days, especially at the height of lockdown 5:37 am in Vegas another 24, wishes for a happy AF day for us all!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

Another 24 hours please &!thank you.

Rava, I found exercise was a huge help for me and actually one of the things I really looked forward to. Most mornings I’d start the day with a 6km walk with my four legged buddy and that just set me up for the day. Eventually we added a shorter afternoon walk to our schedule and walked a total of about 10kms or 6 miles.

I had the snow tires put on my Jeep yesterday even though we set record high temperatures. Friday our nice weather ends and there’s to be a dump of white stuff and cold temps. The warm weather may be the reason you saw bears Cowboy, it’s been too mild.

Mr V, you’re spot on in saying the sun will rise tomorrow. It’ll be interesting to learn the final outcome which has implications not only for America but the rest of the world too. Great to see the huge turnout at the polls.

Have a great af Tuesday everyone.

Good morning. What a nail biter for the election. Didn’t quite think it would be so close. QW you are right I am going to add some exercise into my routine. It’s supposed to be sunny and kinda warm all week so I will take advantage of this. Hope everyone has a great and AF day. Another 24 for me please and thank you.

Temps are supposed to reach the mid to upper 60's for the rest of the week. Not feeling very November like for sure!

I voted in person yesterday, and there were no lines at all. Not what I expected, but I do live in a pretty rural area!

Rava, I think that QW is right about getting exercise to help with some of the cravings. Sounds like a good plan, and I think that I'll try it myself!

24 more please and thank you!

An earlier than usual start to the day thanks to Jessie wanting to go out. I think she heard a cat in our backyard.

I bought ear buds so I could listen to music when I exercise. I find it very relaxing and makes the time go quickly.
It occurred to me that some of our American friends may not have heard of Stuart McLean or Vinyl Cafe. Stuart was an excellent story teller and his 20-30 minute audio stories of a fictional family, Dave, Morley and kids, are very enjoyable. Check it out!

Another mild day today before winter arrives Friday. We’ll take it!

Have a great af Wednesday everyone.

I just got my first pair of ear buds, QW and love them. I'll check out your two suggestions.

I try to ride our recombent bike everyday for 7+ miles. I'd love to ride my regular bike but our area isn't suitable for that. Well, for me anyway! I watch a show on Netflix and I'm done before I know it.

Well, things just keep getting crazier around here! My 20yo granddaughter is staying with us now until her apartment is ready. It's her two cats we've been watching. Hopefully, Monday we will be back to the new normal. Fingers crossed. This house is too small for all this activity!!

24 more, in more ways than one!!
