Thanks for these Jax. Yes I can so relate to both of them especially the first one wanting to die. Mr JC is an absolute hero. Did you ever think he might not stay by you? Did he ever tell you to sort your drinking out?Originally posted by JackieClaire View Post

I agree, and also love the non judgmental approach. Did you drink daily pinks?Originally posted by littlepinkcat View PostNah speak up, weve all been there, remember when i used to kid my self i could moderate i was like yeah i'm just gonna drink on a Saturday for a couple of hours get wrecked and leave it for a week or so; then Jacks said "seems more like binge drinking to me" and i needed to hear that cause my sick mind had excused binge drinking for moderation, our minds convince us of all kinds, best to share and get others views

JC thanks for that. As in your defining moment, I was surprised to realise that most people are quite sensible when it comes to drinking. I never saw the point of 'just one'' drink before.Originally posted by JackieClaire View PostAF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Thank you Mr G. Yes, I was never what you call a party animal. I was the one who secretly used it to feel calm and pass the hours. Maybe even the last person who people would have suspected as having a problem.Originally posted by Guitarista View PostThis was me exactly Starty. And would be me again if I went back to drinking. It is always a downward spiral and a slow self inflicted suicide of body, mind, spirit, and soul. I wish for you a good day today my friend. X

Same. Quietly killing myself. I think that's why I had so many questions when I gave up, so many - "what? just have one drink" Even when I finished cancer treatment, it was expected you'd celebrate with champagne. Pretty bizarre.Originally posted by starty View PostThank you Mr G. Yes, I was never what you call a party animal. I was the one who secretly used it to feel calm and pass the hours. Morning army good advice there starty not much more i can add too. Tomorrow is the start of a new week and if hubby is giving up as well you could support each other. The rain has stopped and the sun is out. I have to pick my monthly prescription from a local chemist as i didn't get there yesterday i 'll get the bus to Bray after go for a walk along the seafront and get a coffee after. There is some nice coffee shops along the way. I need some tea lights from the euro store.

And I know you think chocolate is the catalyst but I think the treat of eating what you want will see you through tough times. Relax, eat and happy thoughts.Originally posted by starty View PostYes I did swear by it. And the all one. I am going to load up because I have both. I also used to take Kudzu too. Might look that up and get some.
Plodding at the moment seems very appealing, just get through the days and treat myself to rest and reading.

no i was a binge drinker, but it was getting much worse it was only a matter of timeOriginally posted by starty View PostI agree, and also love the non judgmental approach.
