You know I was reading a book yesterday & its a historical fact that people with addictions never recover on there own resources, Even me , I never went to AA or any other fellowships, did a bit of one to one counselling & thought that's it, that's me cured of I go, But it was only later looking back at a reflection on my life & looking at some others around me that I realised I was missing something.

Woo hoo! Molls is back Yayyyyyyy

How you doing Mrs, we have missed you! Did you have a good time away?

Yes, I agree we do need other stuff to support our quit. I still have not discounted AA at all, and I want to get a bit more involved with the buddhist teachings as that will help me too. I love the discussion here and the countless books I am reading. In my day to day life though I want to keep my reasons private just now and am enjoying the separation of the two me's.

The truth is I doubt other folks would care either. I said a couple of months ago to a couple of people I was not drinking in response to them needing a drink at the end of a tough day. But they have all forgotten that and are asking if I am driving to the xmas do so I can drink! In reality most people dont really listen to what is being said and they aint interested I findOriginally posted by mollykaI'm doing grand Startster - had a smashing break.. talk about relaxed!!
You sound like yer doing plenty - and I completely agree to separating the two 'me's' --- the 'me' at work has never been known to have a drink problem -- in fact - they wouldn't even be aware that I ever drank - if asked I will say I used to but rarely it arises... And that suits me perfectly And that suits me perfectly
