We're off to my Sister-in-law's house warming tonight............including the kids and partners. Now I wouldn't be lying if I said I'd rather have my brain pulled out through my nose than go ...........as its going to be a right boozy do...........so I have a plan............Go for the food, smile and be nice as I can........ then come home. I shall be happy as Larry and I'll have made the Sunday dinner by 9am tomorrow morning.

Morning all - trying to chill .............

Mr S still driving me nuts. Just can't seem to just 'be'.
We've been out for meals twice this week - all day in Skerries on Thursday. He was out all day at golf in Royal Co Down & a meal with young Satz yesterday - now he's mooching to go meet this brother in Dublin tonight for ANOTHER meal - FFS !!!!!!!! :rant:

Now I have a 'sommelier' on tv talking shite about wine : colour, nose, pallet - grrr grrr such SHITE !!
Most of the stuff we've ever tasted is pure muck and a way to look sophisticated while getting wasted.

So right Satz - when we were drinking were we looking for

A rich Shiraz with cherry, plum and damson fruit flavours

No - it's 4 quid a bottle and 13.5% ABV!

14% if possible. I purchased based on the ABV ...... but ...
On the eye, the colour was a rich ruby.
The nose enticed me in with ripe black fruit, cherries, spice and a hint of chocolate. - FFS !!! :haha:

Mine would sometimes be:-

On the eye, a deep glazing over towards the end of the 3rd bottle, and on the nose, a dark bruise when Mrs T realised I'd opened the 4th bottle!

Me too and the ABV above 13%.

Yes 14%, usually South African stuff. Below 13 was juice!
Although i moved to white a few years ago as I was beginning to wear the red on my face, teeth, tongue.
Mr M bought a bottle of white this eve. Pissed me off a bit - I went through all the 'what ifs' and knew it was stupid to imagine having a glass, cos a shared bottle of white wasn't going to cut it if I had the one.

Satz was Mr S always v sociable? Suppose he has more time on his hands. Is he looking for you to go everywhere with him?

Well yeah Mers - he just wants to be out all the time.
It puts me on edge to be honest ..... when I know he doesn't want to be in the house.

Does your MrM drink the wine to himself in front of you - where you would have shared it previously ?
