I won't say much about this because it makes me so angry. Most here know my feeling on the cruelty of the Catholic Clergy & evil nuns in Ireland.

Totally agree with you Satz. Won't go there either about the churchs influence. But what is wrong with our make up that we want to brush things under the carpet and the unfortunate thing it's still there even with young generation which surprises me. One of my daughters is extremely confident and articulate and the number of times it's been said to her "oh you can't say that/bring that into the open, will make us look bad! That's coming from third level 20 something year olds! Openness and transparency is the key.

Hi all, sorry been awol. Feeling fine just a little insular but nowt to worry over. I hope all are well and MANY congrats on your continued success Tony!

Went on holibobs but the weather was shocking so came home early which was nice as we just pottered around and rested. Work is easing up thankfully

Got myself a new (to me) car today it is bloody huge! I can get all 3 dogs in so looking forward to lots of outings with them in style and comfort

Not read back properly so will go an have a nose

Satz, petal, I'll keep this over here..........but just wanted to say that you are one of the most understanding of the frustrations that members go through on here and you have every fecking right to feel chuffed with yourself.
Of course sobriety just fell into our laps.........nothing to do with years of trying and failing time after time, the self disgust we felt when called out by our families, finding a daughter in tears because she doesn't know the state you're going to be in when she comes home.........we just snapped our fingers and lo and fucking behold, sobriety.

We front up every single day...........some days just living sober..........some days with experiences we've had and can share and sometimes advice that we have learnt over the year but we DO NOT JUDGE...........EVER!!! We know how it feels...........for myself I have to live every day sober to prove to my family that I cannot and will not put them through that nightmare again, I know I won't survive another relapse.........mentally and physically.
