Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol-August 2017
I have lost count of how many Saturday mornings I have awoke with a hairy tongue, a splitting head feeling full of cotton wool and red puffy eyes with no memory of how Friday night ended, oh how I don't miss that.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Evening oh quiet ones. Shall we open a Trappist thread
Downstairs is now puppy proofed as far as I can. Mr JC has has puppy proofed the garden. Luckily we're well fenced in but there again he could be like Steve McQueen in The Great Escape..
I'm quite excited, the house hasn't been this tidy since Christmas Eve.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol-August 2017
Hello gang..
Home. Super trip, hiking, caves, cycling (greenway) and monopoly (I won:victorious
Only himself having a beer or whisky in the evening, so no temptation as such, but it would be very easy to romantice about a casual glass of wine on a summers night. Good to be back, to remember not to forget (the hairy tongue, the pain and regret).
Love the recruitment drive.
Hope all ok with Jenny JackieClaire
Did you have the 2nd interview Tabbers? Sorry, just had a quick read back.AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol-August 2017
I'm sure its beautiful. I watched it on youtube, etc as it was being built and its history. I would love to see it in person but its miles away from where I live and my religious views are all over the map. The cost of the trip does not validate what I believe. Its actually across a lake and would take tons of gas to see, not to mention entrance fees. If you knew my history you would know why. You know in Canada we don't give a F what religion you are of if you do not hurt people. I am an educated atheist now. We just care how you treat another person. Yeah just like I did a little giggle about it, the author probably did too. Now I'm all over the map so I do pray for many of you if want it, and its sincere. Praying to have it fail makes no fucking sense at all. But I am who I am and my history constructed me. I will pray if you want, I sometimes doubt my beliefs. But I'm pretty much atheist or into modern science as we know it now. Being 40 miles away... you have seen it??? Id love to see it. Yeah messed up scenario, and you obviously know the story.Originally posted by Mr Vervill View PostThat damned ark is about 40 miles from my home Empy. It is a beautiful thing, but the guy who built it is crazy, and the money wasted, ugh. The state also gave a huge tax break to the business, so no sales taxes will be paid for years, and just about a month ago, the owner sold it to a non-profit for $1 USD, to avoid paying any taxes on any business profits as well. That one is going to court. And as the business struggles, the owner blames atheists and non-belivers for praying to have it fail. Umm, atheists don't pray, lol."Everybody is a genius. Thats hillarious, the base of my lawn mower is rusted and broken but the motor is insanely perfect because I maintained it for years.Originally posted by Tabbers (a.k.a. KTAB) View PostI spend weeks like that Molly, other times ya can't shut me up. Off out to repair me ancient lawnmower yet again. I get a sense of satisfaction in keeping it running so I do."Everybody is a genius. satz123, sometimes I wonder if the guests are employers or insurance companies. Would be nice to find a very private site."Everybody is a genius. Is this a reference to Canadian politics? Just curious. It made head lines and her father and regan was the master of NAFTA that trump was pissed at but seems really passive now. Thats it for politics. I dont want to be banned. I argue politics often with close friends but will keep it off a forum about addiction.Originally posted by satz123 View PostMORNING MOLLEROONEY !!!

I definitely agree that there should be less guests and more members. There seems to be few active member for a site this large. What we have said might change someone. As for being anonymous, its completely your choice what you choose to do. Many of you if you read can figure out where in the heck I live, or close to it. All by my choice. If you want to be anonymous, fine by me and welcome to our group.Last edited by empyr3al; August 5, 2017, 06:49 PM."Everybody is a genius.
