lol I've had a similar experience with reading and learning being snuffed out by alcohol. I really note where it has taken my brain. It wasn't enough to get the successful full scale quit until now. That along with some other reasons has brought me to today. I hope to rebuild those damaged brain processes. I became fully aware I was using wrong words, not being able to recall words, etc. I noted my post above I used 'On Golden Pond' as that is what my mind recalled at that moment. I meant Walden Pond. I'm working on regaining my function. Time will tell how much will return. I've read about neuroplasticity, so I have hope. I can already see some changes and I only have three weeks in.
