      Thought I might have missed out on the celebration, but better late than never! I see there's lots of cake, so I figured I'd bring the ice cream.



      Not much more that I can add about the wonderful woman we are celebrating with today. I'm sure she has no idea how many people she's helped here on MWO, but I am one of them and I'm proud to call her my friend!

      Congratulations Jackie on your 9 years of sobriety, and I'll be here to help you celebrate 10!
      Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
      Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
      Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

                      Who would have thought it......nine years for a woman who couldn't go nine hours without a drink or nine minutes without thinking of one. Make that nine seconds.

                      I was dying mentally and physically, I had nothing left...........I had hit my rock bottom. Don't let that happen to you.

                      I now know that addicts are the kindest, most giving and generous of their time. And the vast majority have a wicked sense of humour.

                        Well, I will be absolutely buggered. I knew there must have been a reason that I checked in today. JC, you are my heroine .... and I mean that in the non drug sense of course.....Congratulations amazing one, I am in awe of you. Bridge :love:

                                Normally like a little late night lurk but this is a very, very....late night lurk. I was waiting to see when the son & heir's plane landed.......then realised him and his GF aren't back 'til tomorrow.
