Re: January 2019 Army Manoeuvres
JackieClaire - Rosie loves every squeaky toy she gets. She will bounce it around till she gets it to squeak then chews it till it's dead.
So I'm buying new ones all the time.
Morning,
Just peeked out the kitchen window and its snowing.......big fat flakes lying on the ground type snow.....
byebyebridgetjones - so your Weightwatchers group are discussing alcoholism? That was very brave of her. What did the others say ?Last edited by satz123; January 17, 2019, 10:14 AM.

Re: January 2019 Army Manoeuvres
Evening all
What colour is your kitchen going to be jax? Bet it will look fab
Rustop, what do you do for 2 days? is it 2 full days? I really cannot wait. Slight hitch but the girl who was offered the share doesnt really want it, she wants her old job back but they told her she cant have it. She has to either share mine or go full time :egad: bit harsh I thought poor thing. Anyhoo, had a chat with her last night and she is quite upset. I tried to sell it to her a bit but will see.
Also booked a few days away by the seaside in Feb. A tiny little cottage that backs onto the sand dunes. Will do us the world of good as we have been working far too hard
Love the idea of addiciton being discussed on a weightloss board and yes, brave of her.
Rosie sounds a bundle of joy :heartbeat:

starty........its Glenco Larch for the cupboards and Zenith slate for the worktops.........in English..........cream cupboards and dark grey worktops.
Got a pang of jealousy about your February break. Proper fires and no guilt if you stay inside.
We've got a wee break in May up just over the border in Scotland.
IamMary....yep with any luck all over but the shouting by the end of Feb.
Nighty night, loverlies. :hug:It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: January 2019 Army Manoeuvres
Just popping in from the future to let you know that all is well.
Re the Weight Watchers board - it was astonishing. Not one single 'Just have one or two' or 'Why can't you just stop?'. Nothing but support and non-judgement. There was a lot of 'Thank you so much for this. I think I might have a problem too' One young girl who was really worried about her Mum's drinking and begged her to stop in tears. I was bawling my eyes out reading it. Not one single negative comment. An extremely positive forum in general. Once in a while someone will arc up and they are quickly and reasonably put back in their place. Anyway, the best news is that they are all giving booze the boot in a little challenge. So proud.
Interesting point Arsy and Starty re the 'wanting to feel better' thing. Loads of ways to do that without drinking but our boozey druggy brains always try to convince us that there is only one way to feel better....liar.If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Re: January 2019 Army Manoeuvres
Good morning everyone and a horrible one it is, none of the white stuff but the rain is back. Lucky you JC getting your kitchen, enjoy. I had planned some nice inside stuff but now gutters, slates all sort of things on the roof need doing so the budget is going on that. ThatÂ’s amazing Bridget but great that people can talk about it. Lucky you Starty enjoy. I am doing a job share. It was originally the other girls job and she does 3 days a week. ItÂ’s reception/admin, nothing too taxing but gets me out of the house and meeting people. We work very well together and have the same work ethos so that helps. Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Re: January 2019 Army Manoeuvres
Morning,
-2C this morning........heading to the giddy heights of 5C. I can't get any more clothes on. PTL for thermal vests.
The curry was just the thing to settle my tummy.
byebyebridgetjones.......I'm full of admiration for that woman. Took a lot of guts to type that out.
Off now to walk across the frozen tundra to work.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: January 2019 Army Manoeuvres
Evening troops. Friday at last. Get 'em Crunchie bars out :yay:
Yes, JC, have had me thermal vest on the past two days. Am a scrooge (growing up in Aberdeen did it for me) and rarely ever put my heating on. Thankfully being on the second floor I get the heat from the lower flats. Would only put it on if I had visitors (about once a blue moon).
With folks and me aunt to celebrate her 70th - repeating myself, i know - plan is to say that as i've this bugger of a marathon next weekend am off the drink. Hope it works.
Off to veg with netflix and pretzels. Have a good evening all

Re: January 2019 Army Manoeuvres
Got no crunchies but a big bag of Revels.
RunningCourage.......sounds like my wee flat I bought after my first marriage went up the spout. I was so scared of what the electricity bill was going to be I basically had a hot water bottle strapped to me most of the time. I thought I was being clever buying on the third floor and getting downstairs residual heat..........didn't work out like that.
Search is now on for a pair of boots. We're going to a winter wedding in a couple of weeks. Trouble is all the spring stuff is in the shops. It could be worse, I could be filing.
