Re: One Step at a Time - June 2019

Liz - that is so scary about your water skiing accident. Whew. How quickly things happen.

Hope dd2 feels better right away. Can't wait to see a pic of the chess set.

Pauly - I always think it's so sad to see litter around. At least the restaurants have stopped serving straws unless you ask. When I was young, there were paper straws. I wonder why we can't go back to that?

Rusty - you really gave me quick an image with your comment about the light brown color of the water. Yuck is right.

No word on the stitches yet. They were supposed to have a phone consultation this afternoon at 2:00 and I never heard anything. Since they were so upset yesterday, I'm just waiting to hear. Too much of Mom bugging them isn't always a good thing. LOL
I had an appointment with my GP today. I have been having a bad pain in my mid back below my rib cage. Of course, it wasn't hurting today so it was hard to pinpoint or describe the pain. Sigh.....anyway, x-rays and ultrasound. I swear I'm falling apart.

We just turned off the air conditioner (living room wall unit) to go in the bedroom. I'm sweating already. :concern:

Glassie - you are missed! How are you feeling?

Re: One Step at a Time - June 2019

Hello and happy hump day. NoraC of course the pain gets better the minute you head to the doctor. I'm glad they are looking into it though.
I think you're right about not nagging at the kids. They'll tell you if it's anything, I'm sure. No news is good news.
So Erin came by to pick up Logan today. I knew she had a doctor appointment tomorrow and assumed it was Logan's two year well check. Turns out the appointment was cancelled and it was for her, for an ultrasound, she's Pregnant again! I knew it was coming but didn't expect it this soon.neither did they! Baby is due mid January! Lol, she said she would never have a January baby! She is a January baby (1/10) and hates that her birthday is close to Christmas. I'm so excited, but am sworn to secrecy. She wants to wait until she reaches 12 weeks to share!
I know I can trust you guys with my secret.
Hope you guys are all enjoying an AF Wednesday!

Hi all,
Not much happening except the weather is windy which I like. Also it will be in the 50s tonight which never happens in summer, so good for that. 1st day of hip sobriety, she sent out a vid an hour long and orientation tonight at 8...went to a peach orchard today to get some peach ice cream but the line was a mile long so just got some peaches. Got lost on the way back and had to use siri.......Liz, that is very exciting about Erin!!!:yay:...lucky you didn't get killed in that boating thing, whew!.....Paulie, I don't like swimming with fish, and those carp get so big ugh.....Nora, hope your xray or ultra sound give you some answers....waves to Rusty....

bird, peach ice cream yum! It's going to get windy here tonight too. Kinda cool, great sleeping weather.
Kept busy today. Went to my moms this afternoon. She got Logan an Elmo cupcake and we sang happy birthday. His birthday isn't until Tuesday but mom thinks he'll be overwhelmed with gifts all at once. He loved what she bought him and I know mom was tickled he enjoyed the gifts! Don't know if I mentioned it yet but Mark is coming home tomorrow! I'm happy he'll be home, but sad his London experience is done. He loved living there, but wasn't thrilled with the work he was doing there. He is now moving on to "robotics" with the same company.
Hope everyone had a great AF Thursday!

Hi everyone.

Bird - the peaches sound yummy. I guess dd really wants you to go. Ha, ha. You're a good Mom. How's the Sheet Music sorting going? I was missing my piano the other day even though I had it sitting here for years and never played it.

Pauly - ugh, no air conditioning. Do you know if they got it fixed yet? Does Lou still love his new house? Did they get all the baby gates they needed? I think I'm going to buy the kids one of the foldable gates because Savannah loves to go in the kitchen when Mommy is cooking. It's not safe.

Liz - are you so happy having Mark home? Is he going to be local again or is he going to be sent somewhere else? Pretty soon you are going to have two little ones to babysit. You must be so happy!!

Rusty - where are you? I hope you are home and relaxing now.

Glassie - how are you feeling ?? How is HRH? Were you ever able to go snorkeling?

Techie - I hope that you are busy, busy, busy having fun.
