stirly-girly thanks for that but I'm gonna have to research and see if I can find this elsewhere because once you click "add to cart" the site goes into Greek!!!

EDIT ... found the UK Agan site!

Re: September Army Thread

Morning and waves to all.
Been trying to get this post done for an age.
Firstly birthday lunch cancelled.............unknown reasons as yet. Bit worrisome.
Discovered the tree that has berries is actually a blackcurrant bush. So been googling like a madwoman.
Mr JC's gone very chatty.

tonyniceday........crikey Tony, if its free go for it. :applouse:I paid a small fortune being in England and I don't get my bus pass 'til I'm 66 or my blessed pension 'til then. Our kids will still be paying their student loans off 'til they retire as well. Get it done and I'll come to your graduation........on the bus Rant over.
We do get free prescriptions at 60 but since giving up drinking I don't need a cupboard full of pills and potions.
stirly-girly..........thankyou........its my brain doesn't hold information like it used to.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

I once saw Milton Keynes from a distance.:egad:
I've been on my knees praying to gods of printers...........someone rather lully sent me some patterns and the bugger will work on everything else but them. So sent them the Mr JC's office.

Re: September Army Thread

Off to beddles with myself and pupper. Late afternoon chat with the cousin. The more I talk to her the more grateful I am that I'm no longer drinking. I told her I'm not coming to the wedding but I doubt she'll remember tomorrow as I feared. There was an incident at the hen's night and the bride and groom aren't talking to her. The mother of the bride screamed at her because it appears that she took herself back to her room alone for a drinking session rather than join in on the agreed activities. This is one wedding I will not be sad to miss.

Oh thank you God whoever you are for bringing me to my senses. I am so frigging grateful today.

Enough of my carry on now. I'm off to the boudoir.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Good morning everyone. Great to see the site up and running again. Could not get on at all yesterday evening. Work for me so quick check in, need to beat the school traffic.

Have a great week all.

Morning waves to all.
Just a very quick one as the decorator's arriving shortly. Luckily just the stairs and landing so I've got downstairs to myself.
Couldn't get on yesterday evening at all
mollyka............I've tried many OTC sleepy time tablets so will give my results later.

All in my humble opinion
Sominex..........knocks you out and you feel groggy and lethargic all the next day and with me the day after
Nytol (herbal).............chuck them in the bin.
Nytol........see Sominex.
Melatonin..............did nothing.
Best one I've found Boots own brand Sleepeze..............take one not two (two is too many and has the same effect as Sominex)
Most doctors are loath to prescribe sleeping pills especially if you've had a history of alcohol abuse.

I do use a hypnosis cd I loaded on to my old phone. Glenn Harold.........at first his voice irritates the life out of you, but it works for me.

My GP did say with all the years of drinking that my sleeping will skewed and it will and can get back to normal. The sleep you're getting now is pure and restful even if its just 3/4 hours.

Does your GP think your sleep could recover even after all those years of sobriety ?? ( major congrats on 10+ years btw!!)

Ooh ta for the congrats Have to pinch my self now and again. I still keep in mind that the saying............' I haven't come across a situation yet'

She never said. Some do and some don't I suppose.

I've always been a bad sleeper (is bad the right word???) even as a baby. So the 'sleeping like a baby' saying for me would be she woke up every 20 minutes.

Ashamed to say I've never been to Wales. Although it could be on the cards. The friend that I found from junior school lives in Cornwall and met up with 40 odd years after I last saw her...........it might be a meet up point. She's up in the NE next month so we'll get something sorted.
Unless you're a millionaire and can get a train including several changes..........or I could wait for my bus pass .

Off to the eye specialist on a cancellation. Every test under the sun and a new script for drops. That'll be 360 big ones please....better than going blind.

How's it going Tony?

GW is probably uploaded in time for me to watch Sat morning after you JC. The most LOVELY episode this last one gone. End of summer for you all. That feature garden was just divine. And the girl who grew cut flowers on her allotment.

Molly, but for the grace of God go all of us, that's for sure.

Thought Id better get on her early, couldnt check in last night

Your poor cousin Bridge, do you think she will ever see sense? I think we all have a someone close still in the thick of it, some more obvious than others. Although my lot are jumping on the wagon one by one (seems like I wasnt the only one with the gene!). Others have cut back a lot, but still go on benders, but not as bad as before - hard to tell if they are 'cured' or didnt need to be.. Can you have a heavy drinker who curtails his drinking?

When are you off to Greece satz123?
Jenny will be grand JackieClaire, try not to worry. 1st day back with the kids is always slightly terrifying. Killer shoes and strong coffee..

Just back myself after 4 weeks. It was grand, nice to back to a proper routine. Cant understand what I did all day for the past few weeks, but not one job on my list got ticked off! We had nice dinners :happy2:
