Afternoon all. Good to see you back home Miss B. The park runs are amazing, my sil’s are both involved. Glad you enjoyed your hike Brit. Another frosty sunny day here but unfortunately I had my walk in the dark this morning before work. There is always something Molly, if it’s not the sprogs it is something else. Take care of yourself among the drama. Must start back meditating myself, few annoying things going on and need to ground myself. Lunch over so better get back to work.

Don't often think about this but...… was getting into the car to come home from work this evening.. praying that the shite had somehow worked itself out (it hasn't!) but suddenly I just thought --- thank god -- I haven't caused any of this.... any any any.... and it was a good feeling..

Great way of looking at it Molly. Plus they are all adults now, they'll figure it out.
Teenage drama here today, exhausting but its all small stuff, probably like Rustop. I picked up a good book for said teenager at lunch, who got lost in it a few hours ago and that was the end of that.
Same as giving up the grog, the power of distraction if fantastic - its just one way of controlling the mind I suppose, not giving those thoughts any air time.

[MENTION=22839]brit[/MENTION], 800 is bonkers! The one in malahide is probably the biggest in Ireland, but its still only around 500.. Our local one, (which is all uphill!) is much smaller, around 100 give or take. I love how they have taken off, brilliant concept for walkers too.

Hope everything is settling down Molly. It is so upsetting and you really start to wonder, don't you? I just feel like running away these days when it blows up. Like Harry and Meghan. I've had enough.

What is all this park running that people do these days. Everyone at work is into it as well.

Morning all. Just making some leek and potato soup and the the house smells lovely!
Bridget, Parkrun is a free 5k event now global.Mary I did Malahide when I came to a meet up in Dublin. JC Satz and Molly came to watch. Happy days.
Had a drinking dream last night (more of a nightmare) Nice to wake up knowing it was just a dream

d'ya know - I am an aetheist to the core (but am I -- obviously not!!!) BUT -- I've been intoning the Serenity prayer in my head for the last 24 hours -- this 'boy' -- is a man -- he's 25... but he's my 'baby' -- and he is oh I dunno -- very childlike in ways -- never grew up like the others -- but he's a lovely lad - he'd charm the birds out of the trees when he wants to -- but I' m lost -- dunno what to do for him - don't want to go into it on here obviously - but it's just like a perfect storm - no biggie on it's own - but about 4 major things gone wrong all in one go...

Look - he'll be fine -- I'm sure - but it's so bloody painful watching your beloved child hurting isn't it!!!?
Have to go to work now - so ommmmmmmmmmmm -- grant me the serenity etc:happy2:

Evening everyone. :hug::hug:Molly. I think we sense the vulnerability in some of our children and want to protect them but as adults we can’t. This too shall pass. Glad to have the working week over . Must read back to find that meditation. Bloody phone, I miss things. Pilates tonight so just a quick check in.

Molly, I'm sorry your boy - and therefore, you - are hurting. Strangely, I didn't realize until it happened that this part of parenting goes on and on, even when our children are grown. Sometimes it is hard not to long for the days when we really were able to "fix" most of their problems or at least be in a position to get to the bottom of what is going on. So, we're still the parents, but not in charge.

He knows you're there if he needs you. Take care of you, too. xx, NS
