    Re: International Army April 2020

    Hi troopers,

Hope all goes well with your mum Satz.

Stirly, I'm still in touch with Rags now and then. Happy to report she's alive and well.

    What a cool project JC.

Big waves to all. Take care and take it easy.

So sorry to hear that Satz. Were they all checked in the nursing home or had she symptoms? Maybe its been and gone?

Ozark : Mers is it really very good ? Heard a lot about it....
Save Me Too - all episodes are now on Sky

Mers you're still young - when ladies get older sometimes all we've got going for us is the gruaig .... :haha:
Hahaha, not true, look at Mammy Stirls! What a lady. Its hard to make an effort when theres nothing to make an effort for. Im wearing my headband every day - but still slap a bit of make up on for the daily walk/run/cycle/vague movement.
Ozark is excellent. Bit gritty, but its a v good series.

That was me Brit, my folks were comparing their restrictions to their siblings in the uk, all over 70. They are (UK), it seems, allowed to go for walks/exercise, in Ireland, the over 70s are not permitted out right now. My dad is doing his park walks around the garden too (well, hes got to 2k for far!) Good for you on the 5k walk, hows the foot?

Loads of hilarious memes doing the rounds, they crack me up. Maybe Im more conscious of them, but the amount of jokes that the parents are driven to drink at 9am is mad..
My asos order came today, really quick. Few tops for sons birthday, but threw in a pair of Covid shoes for myself, thinking no one would notice. They wouldnt normally, but now they all notice everything, even Mr M, who would not usually notice if I turned a shade of purple, or into a gorilla. Well, he might have to roll with the latter shortly.

        :hahaha:

Violet in the same room had a cough which was new - unlike my mothers 'old' raggedy cough. I think they tested both of them for that reason - dunno really.
Doctor who rang said after 7 days symptoms get worse -
all very vague regarding the testing. ... they are supposed to have 2 symptoms to qualify for test but doctor said no - no temperature...
We've decided anyway if she gets very bad that she will not be transferred to lie on a trolly in Hospital corridor. ICU bed will not be priority for a 90 year old.
She will stay where she is & be treated by the nurses, carers & doctors that she knows.

            Morning isolators!
Is everyone still experiencing crazy sleeping patterns? I'm getting up in the middle of the night for a cuppa because I can get away with it.

JC - hdclump is uploading Gardener's World really quickly these days. The Clumps are probably in isolation and can get onto it, but I really appreciate it. Monty is off for another two weeks though. What is happening with that man? I hope he's not sick because I've got a massive soft spot for him. Mind you Adam's garden is just stunning isn't it? See Adam's black cat steal the show? I've been watching back episodes too. One thing about gardening programmes - they don't date.

KTAB - I hope you get Gardener's World too. You'd love it. But I'm sure there's a lovely Irish garden equivalent. Actually, what is it? I'd like to try and pick it up.

I've decided that a garden tour of UK and Europe is on my bucket list. All my time in England and I never went to Chelsea. I'll fix that.

How's everything in your world now Brit? Is everyone settled back in?

            Right I'm reading back.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

This is 250,000 mingling at Cheltenham - MrS being one of them.

They reckon now this may account for a lot of cases. We've learned so much since...
But ye know those thousands who out of it in one piece has to be another positive !
                'Cos 250,000 X 20 ( which was the multiplier then) = 5 million - so we're all doing well :applause2:

Which one's Mr S? Can you circle him? i think he's the one in the yellow.

I'm sorry to hear about your Mum and poor old Violet as well. Sounds as if the care is good there though, and as if they are on top of it. Like you say, she's in the best place.

Oh and these ones who are coughing and spitting at police and generally being idiots. Best place for them. We've got a few that will be spending time 'away' as well.

Mornin' Army from a cool and wet Athens! Good thing I got the necessities yesterday to plant some tomato plants. Obviously no going to happen this weekend. Oh well, I'm not going anywhere anyway.

What Bridge said. There really are a lot of idiots walking around free! Jaysus, not only possibly spreading COVID but AIDS as well...

Am at my desk. Have been trying to get through the mountain of paperwork so Saturday is the best day to take a stab at it. Stay a couple of hours and then home to make something yummy for lunch. I've got leeks, mushrooms, baby potatoes, feta, eggs and phyllo pastry. Might make a quiche-type dish but with the pastry base. Oh, and even tho' I don't eat much sugar, I will treat myself to a scoop of cookies and cream ice cream for dessert. Yum!! Has anyone else gained weight the last while? I really need to watch myself but not the easiest thing. I tend to eat more when I'm stressed and the last few weeks really have not been that easy. Some days better than others but the lack of contact with my family and friends does get to me at times. Anyway, we'll get through this and I guess a few extra kilos should be the least of my worries. Oh, and they have banned swimming and scuba-diving. Jeez, this is Greece. There are a zillion beaches in this country. How do they expect to enforce those restrictions???

Anyway - hope you all get some sunshine in your corner of the world. Wishing you all a super day!!!

Good morning everyone. Love the Botanic Gardens, well worth a visit if you are in this part of the world Bridget.

Lovely bright morning here, went out early with the doggies and garden for the afternoon. Zoomed with my crochet group yesterday and was great fun. Stay safe everyone.
