Evening yerself.
@byebyebridgetjones.................it struck me a few weeks ago when Mr. JC was working from home.......that on top of the hassle of working from home. The phone calls, the heating , the power is all coming out of your own pocket.............you could hardly slap your latest electric bill on and as them to pay half.If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Re: International Army July 2020
Mornng and waves to the world,
mollyka.................proud of you for the letter writing, get the unions to do what they're supposed to do.............defend their workers.
IamMary.......the left eye is blurry to the point I can see shapes. Like doors or the TV.......no details.........right eye is blurry but with my specs on I can read and watch TV. It all happened so fast.............. I honestly thought I just needed new glasses. Its a full-blown cataract in my left eye and there's the beginning of one in my right eye.
The letter I got from the my GP says if I haven't heard from the eye people by 20th I've got to ring them directly. They may well do both................hopefully not at the same time or I will be walking into doors.
I've been ever such a good girl and haven't googled the life out of the procedure apart from will I be sedated. With my absolute hatred of people touching my face its probably a good idea to sedate me out of my gourd as I'd attack the staff. And I'll be honest I'm scared witless..
The Great North Run's not on this year so Jenny's running 40 run in 10 weeks for the Children's Heart Unit near us. She's done 10 so only another 30 to go.
And you know I said Bess looked like she was on her last legs...............she's bouncing round like a puppy at the moment. She's just chucked all the cushions from the settee and the big chair all over the floor then frightened all the birds in the garden and looks very pleased with herselfIt could be worse, I could be filing.

Up North we boycott his shops. Just thank the gods he never got his greedy little hands on John Lewis............we'd be lost.
He has the charisma of a cow's backside but that would be cruel to a cow at least they give us manure.

Re: International Army July 2020
Sent off a blistering letter to the union today after querying a few things with the big bosses -- I thought I had to be wrong -- but I'm not.. so yeah - the die is cast... last time I brought something to the union I became persona non grata for a long time with senior management but I had the gargle to help me through that one.. so yeah -- should be fun!
Look what happened to the minister yesterday. Drink driving on a Learner Permit ....... a great message there for young people.
It's too high profile for them to mess about with guidelines.
Even the smallest of places are upping their game. MrS was getting an ice-cream while out shopping yesterday at one of those tiny stands. The little girl behind the counter told him to stand behind the 2 metre line & pull up his mask properly. :haha: To serve him she put on clean gloves & had a mask on.
Stick to your guns & f*ck them. That's what Unions are for ... you can ask for leave of absence 'till it's sorted. Refuse to work in unsafe conditions.

Re: International Army July 2020
So remainder of pubs not re-opening. 1000s are out of work and businesses closing because of it.
What difference is there between:
a) a pub you can eat a steak in- open :
b) one where you can't - closed. makes no sense.
You're safe from Corona as long as you eat grub with your pint ?....
The latest rise is due to young folk's house parties - 30 - 60 cramped into a 3 bed.... so let's keep the pubs closed - FFS !! There will be more house parties .. not less.
At least in a pub there is SOME control on behaviour while following guidelines.
But also some control of the amount of alcohol consumed
Also personally I want ALL the pubs to open - MrS now feeling sorry for himself and has me mithered to go for a steak dinner - so he can have a pint or 10. Of course I'll be dumped if he meets anyone and the pub doesn't adhere to 1.5 hour limit.

satz123.............I prematurely night nighted there.
I as never a pub drinker............well,I was after a fashion but it irritated me how sllow everone else was.
Even Jenny & Ads are giving them a swerve as its too complicated and too expensive and their nearest boozer is three miles away.Last edited by JackieClaire; July 16, 2020, 04:40 PM.It could be worse, I could be filing.
