Re: International Army July 2020

satz123..........I've got one of those two-step things and I'm scared of that.............you can have it..........used twice and both times jammed my fingers when trying to fold it up.

We signed up for the Disney Channnel for six months and watched the first Thor movie this aftie which brings me to a totally necessary random image of Chris Hemsworth.............Jenny's future step-father

mollyka.............A Viking god son of Odin .........who's welcome around my house anytime time for a cup of tea.......I share my Jaffa cakes with him any day.
His day job is an Australian actor.

I'm trying to get Mr. JC to take a few days off. Jenny and Ads are coming in a couple of weeks to practice living in our tent so they can get away. We've got a load of proper camping stuff in the loft. Proper gas lamps, cooking gear etc might have a look see at some of the campsites.

Are you B&B ing or just taking off for the day?

We've still to get over 17c but there's a biting wind.

Thank you all!!
and abcowboy for always dropping by with lovely cake :heartbeat:
ITs a lovely feeling. Am I allowed to be a little bit smug today :sohappy:. 5 years seems like a dream when your on that first day, week, month, but here I am, we all are, living the dream together :haha: (because I was never going to pull this off on my own).
JackieClaire, no, Mr M is not that person who puts on a face, he says it like it is. Hes grand again now, excited (on behalf of the rest of us) for this camping trip on Friday. My Dad gave himself loads of our camping gear, it has hardly changed over the years. Of course my dad thinks this is marvelous, all this stuff still on the go 40+ years later.
fickle, I totally get that about where you feel you are right now. I was happy enough in my job, but joining the running club helped me reach small goals that I didnt even know I needed. I felt very selfish at times as it was all about me, but now I realise how important it was on so many levels, even for the kids, as its not always about them. So your next move doesn't have to be a dramatic one, a new challenge might satisfy more that you think..

Plastic bag slipped (what else would it have done?), other foot missed full contact with the ladder and down I went. Thank goodness for bum padding.

Evening folks, thanks for taking the time to post your comments. I do know I should be sharing more but right now just reading and this occasional check in helps me feel like I am still hanging in there.

As has been discussed the reality that is the new norm of every day life lived under this shadow effects people in very different ways. I suppose amongst the many varied emotions and feelings we are collectively going through the confusion and fear of the unknown is the most common. Not a great combination for us lot eh? Personally I am a long way off going out for a meal for instance or visiting anywhere indoors I absolutely don’t have too, we are a long way off being anywhere near safe except in isolation.

Mary fabulous 5, I am genuinely delighted for you.

S&H started his new job today............driving a van delivering soft drinks. Still waiting to hear from Aldi and the Tax Office...........with a mortgage like they've got its a case of anything will do...............and you know I'm rather proud of him.

Guess who's got some more rhubarb

Our camping started with the Reading/Leeds outdoor concerts back in 2006..............sort of poor mans Glastonbury but we did see The Killers, Metallica and other ear bleeding loud bands. We did it three years running. All very rock and roll and loud. No wonder I've got ear-trumpets. But I did have pink spottted wellies
