I am sleeping on a camp bed next to Mr A it is comfy but not ideal.
The marathon happened with a lot of help from the family. During the event I had to change a stoma and call the paramedics when we couldn't get him back to bed and he was in a lot of pain. Anyway I did it!! Actual moving time was 4 hrs 50mins With all the drama the elapsed time was 7. hours."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

How r u Molly?

Re: International Army October 2020
Good morning everyone. Good to see Tabs and Molly checking in. Have never watched Gardeners world, must put it on my list. Thinking of you Techie, hope you are ok?
Some people are having it so so hard, like your sister and BIL Anjicia. Also Brit, Nora, Techie, JC on our own thread. That’s why I hate to complain. Getting out for walks is therapeutic. We are going on a different one on Friday. It means traveling but at least it is in our own county. We could be back to 5km before we know it. Better do a bit of house cleaning, ugh.

Morning and waves to the world.
Bright, sunny and absolutely freezing. Not sure if my mate is coming. She's a supply teacher so has to wait to see if she's needed. But there again we had a two hour phone call about nothing last night.
mollyka. take care of yourself, pet.
Tabbers (a.k.a. KTAB).............I'll put that on my wish list for Chrimbo. I cried a buckets when Nigel died.
Anjicia.........you're sounding good and determined.
Satzuma, put Rosie down for a minute and give us a wave. Thoughts of fostering have been going though my head but its far too soon. Gawd, I've even thought about getting a budgie.Last edited by JackieClaire; October 7, 2020, 05:08 AM.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: International Army October 2020
Morning folks, lying in bed this morning and taking a trip down memory lane trying to recall 40 years ago and wondering about the people I knew then and how they are, and even if they are still around. Sounds kind of morbid I know but these are happy memories in the main. Jeeze I must be getting old haha.
In other news I have had my complete fill of reading and hearing daily about Cov and the orange ah so have decided with less than a month to go to the US election I have imposed a news blackout personally. It is only depressing me reading about the state of the world and the things going on so I will be impersonating an ostrich for a few weeks, wish me luck.
Take care all and be safe.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

I have had a self-imposed news blackout for years now, Tabbers. Besides the endless non-information and useless opinions of people about Covid, I also cannot bear listening to political debates/discussions where the people mainly tend to criticize the agenda/goals of the other political party without offering something constructive from their own political party. Nor can I bear to listen to embellished and repeated news reports about tragedies such as murders, abductions, etc. It's bad enough that these things happen without listening to it 20 times a day for days on end.
'Nough of that - again, good to see you here Tabbers. I often wonder about people I went to school with. Some of them I am in touch with on FB, others not. My problem is that when I see a picture of someone on FB that I have not seen for 50 years, it's kind of a shock to see how much most of them have changed while I, Stirly, have not changed one iota!! :shakingno::lipstick:
JackieClaire - I forgot to comment on the card and seeds from your vet. A very touching gesture to be sure. Forget-me-nots are such sweet flowers and such lovely colours.
We had a canary for some years. Actually would play with us a bit while in his cage. Kind of messy tho'. I much prefer doggers. IamMary - loved the name of the budgie tho'. How are the teen dramas going? So glad that is behind me...
Anjicia - good to see the AF days piling up. I is such a relief to be free of the demon.
mollyka and satz123 - time to check in, ladies.
Hallo to rustop59. Good that you can get your walks in. You're right - a lot of people having difficult times. And on top of that we have the Covid restrictions to deal with. Which are affecting every single one of us. Not an easy time. Best of luck with the house cleaning....
brit and NoraC - thinking of you and sending
Back to the e-mails.

Morning and waves to the universe.
Tabbers (a.k.a. KTAB)..................were you on your way ro bed or just got up early?
The only news that really matters is our local news. But I have found a new fascination..............Prime Ministers's question time. I like watching Boris squirm and bluster. We're now waiting along with Liverpool and Manchester for new lockdown rules.
I'm still obsessed by USA crime dramas. I reckon I could solve any murder within 60 seconds of finding the body.
Excitement of the day...............I've just got some new wool delivered.:happy2:
IamMary............did you wee one have the poke up the nose test. Jenny said it was really uncomfortable.................translation Mam,...........it really, really hurt.
stirly-girly.......our garden has finally caught up with the rest of England...........its in full bloom. There's a blooming great sunflower just outside the kitchen window. Ans so many sweetpeas and poppies its unbelievable. It could be worse, I could be filing.

This Covid business and how people are reacting has done my head in. A customer was telling me that in her daughter's class at school (7-year olds) - one girl was kept home on Wednesday and Thursday because she had a fever but sent to school on Friday because it was her birthday and she wanted to take treats to her classmates. Kept home again the following Monday and Tuesday since she still had a fever over the weekend. Still no Covid test done tho'. So I said to the lady - so there is a chance that she treated the other kids to Covid germs along with the cupcakes. Yep. Jaysus.....For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.
