    dr s results,

yea rachel. we're all here for you.
yah, the docs are usually hopeless, no real interest in you as a human being. guess they've seen too much and are numb to the reality that is killing you and so many other people. sad, but that's the person who we need for many things. But not for everything. Get the advice, get the meds, go for it, and remember that you have a lot of other resources to help you along the way.
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

      dr s results,

      Dear Rachel,

If I were you I would go to an emergency room of a decent hospital. There is a good chance they would admit you & start your detox.

Of course you are worth it ...you are just sick. Go to the hospital.

        dr s results,

        Hi Rachel,
Shame it can`t all kick off for you today, but at least you know you are finally going to get help. Meantime yip, I definitely think you should get some kudzu to try to limit your intake as much as possible. We`re all behind you.

        Much love,

This may sound incredibly simple... and in reality IT IS.. but for EVERY DRINK you ALLOW YOURSELF MAKE YOURSEF DRINK A GLASS OF WATER!
You won't be able to drink as much... and you'll be running to pee more often, but it'll do your body good. If you can get some milk thistle @ a health food store , that would be great too.(might even find it @ a drug store) It's been proven to actually improve liver function & REPAIR DAMAGE that's already been done .

You should be able to get some L-glutamine @ a regular drug store as well( it's just an amino acid...near the vitamins) It really helps with cravings, and helps with all around feeling better...

Keeping you in my thoughts & :h

              dr s results,

Rachel, at least we now know something, we have a starting point. Just try to rest, drink as little as you can to get by, and know you have all our support. We love you Rachel. You are amazing. If you don't feel that you can wait for the doctor's assessment of a treatment plan, as Chrysa said try the Emergency Room. But it seems to me I read somewhere why Brits don't want to go to the ER with drinking issues, but I can't remember why. Just lots of hugs for Rachel

                dr s results,

                Hi Rach,

I'm glad you made it to GP's ok, well, we know what GP's are like in the UK don't we?

Don't worry, you will be sorted before you're 33 !! Aren't there any pop-in drug and alcohol units near you there are where I live, you could ask in the library or ring the local general hospital or a general health centre.

Try and do what I said last time -buy some of the really low alcohol beer or lager like 2% stuff - it won't taste good at first but it is like everything -you get used to it and it is not too strong at all. You could have 4-8 of them instead of the extra - strong stuff and b/f is going to have to stop drinking too until you're way over the danger period of starting again, can he do it too???

Every time you want a drink think LIVER, LIVER, LIVER just remember you need your liver to live ?? YES or NO ??

I really wish you all the best, keep positive
                Love

I feel as though it's all happening to someone right next to me.
I'm close, I can feel it, I can hear it, but it isn't really me.

                      dr s results,

Rachel-every accomplishment, no matter how small, is a step forward. A plan & a goal is all you need with a positive mindset that you can do it.

Others seem to know more about your situation than I do.

When I went AF I grabbed the bull by the horns. I took every drop of alcohol out of my house, my hubby stopped drinking (he does not have a problem) in support of me, I avoided my drinking buddies & social situations until I could handle them AF.

My point is: I took all alcohol out of my daily equation.
Everyone here has good advice. We want you to suceed. Good luck hon.

                          dr s results,

I am with Chrysa -you need to go to the hospital and then get yourself set up with an inpatient rehab. But first you need to walk into the hospital for detox. You can't do this at home. She is right you are too physically sick. I don't agree with the drinking just the right amount to keep you calm because it doesn't sound like you have the ability to do that. I am worried for your health. Please be careful and take care of yourself. :h
Sunny days, sweeping the, clouds away. On my way, to where the air is sweeeet!!! Can you tell me how to get, how to get to......LOL

                            dr s results,

This sounds like the type of situation where a health professional needs to help you .
I think you need to go to a hospital. you are right happy camper.
I had a German friend who tried to slow down drastically and ended up having convulsions.
Please try to get professional help.

                              Rachel,
It's a bugger that the doctor wasn't much help, but you have taken the first steps. I agree that you need to push for inpatient rehab - it sounds like it'll be so much better for you to have that extra help. Good luck - we're all behind you :h :l

I agree too - inpatient rehab. This is serious stuff here.
                                Take care dear.
