    ODAT- Thursday

    Hey guys....

    Feels good to be back, sorry Bess that I am here first but you and I are buddies so all is good!

    Surgery went well, they took a small biopsy of tissue from my esophogus but they say all looks well, apparently I just have a very swollen esophogeal tube and that medication should heal that and I will be all good! Which is good for me cause seriously, I'm sick of it taking me a long time to eat a meal I enjoy!

    I'm very tired, it was a long day but still doing well. I feel bad that I haven't been on as much as normal, I see we have a lot of new members on this thread - WELCOME to you all!

    I am sad that I am not on as much as I used to be, work has really been busy, I haven't had a chance to read any threads, this is the only one I try to hit daily. I hope everyone is doing well, miss you all and to all the newbies, hope that you will get to know me as much as the "oldies" soon.

      Morning all!

      Hi Uni and thanks for starting the thread. It's a treat for me to log on and see it already up and running. Takes the pressure off!! :H Really glad the surgery went well. And hope you can get a bit more time in on here. I found that when I was too busy to visit often it took the focus off dealing with Al and I NEED to stay focussed so it's good to keep logging in and reading and posting.

      I am focussing on today and will be AF. The slippery slope I mentioned yesterday? Well I lost my footing on it last night. :upset: I'm not going anywhere near it today. Staying in the L-Glut zone.

        Morning all. Well middle of the night actually. Middle of the night wanderings and then going back to bed. Gym at 6:30 today! Yay! Sleep a bit longer. Message from guy at office offering to work with me in the hole today. Message from GF about confirming vacation and how she is getting her bicycle prepped. Yikes! I better look at mine. Today will be a happpy day. Yesterday sucked. I still don't know where my cell phone is. Don't really care. :H And I quite mean that. When it rings I gusss someone else will have to answer. :H Oh, I found my sense of humor.

          Hi everyone

          Welcome back Universal. You are right participating on the site does help to keep you focussed. My computer crashed last month and while I used the one in the library a few times it wasnt the same. I look forward to getting my MWO fix first thing and sometimes in the evening during witching hour I just come on and read.

          Another beautiful sunny day so looking forward to my walk. Catch you all later.

            Good Morning all ODATs!! Glad your surgery went well, Uni.
            Day off for me today and tomorrow. I can use the rest!! Those babies are so cute, but alot of work!!
            Heading west tomorrow to visit my daughter who is getting married in June. I'm looking forward to getting away. Day 10 AF today! WAHOOO...

                I love this post! I'm taking the morning off to rest up after yesterday (don't think my boss is too happy but oh well!)

                    well, how can I follow Rip's post...........where does she get this stuff!!! I want a library of funny pics.
                    Uni, glad all is well. Tell you boss to take a chill pill..........the work will be waiting for you in the morning.

                    Life is too busy over here. Don't like it. History has shown that I don't do well over extended. Need balance. But I'm ready with my Smith and Wesson, just in case AL shows up.......wish I knew how to shoot the damn thing.

                      Good morning from here anyway,

                      Bad storm(s) moved through here last evening. One of my friends lost most of her house, another had damage to windows, vehicles and camper. After work, going to see if there is anything I can do to help clean up their mess!! We got lucky here, everyone is safe, so that is the main thing, except there's a chance it will do it again today! Going to keep the Camaro home today for sure!!

                        Hi Everyone...

                        You've go to love the weather in Minnesota. Yesterday it was sunny and 85 degrees and by Saturday it is only going to be 34 degrees! What a bummer. It is raining like crazy here!

                        Uni...glad to hear that your surgury went well!

                        LV...sorry to hear that there was a bad storm system that moved through your area. Very nice that you are helping clean up the mess. Make sure you where some good leather gloves.

                          what a day - I have forgotten my ODATers - slap on the wrist for me!

                          Today I dug up a 1/2 dead deer eaten shrub and replaced it with a rose bush that I hopefully cannot kill - the variety is knock out rose and supposedly is "roses for dummies"

                          also planted some other lovelies, moving things around, the work of the gardener

                          I have bread rising Baking the Perfect Loaf of French Bread ? Jaden’s Steamy Kitchen (old site)
                          and brownies in the oven

                              Hi my ODAT friends,

                              I am trying so hard to get through the threads and read all the posts. My ABs thread had me smiling because so many were up and doing well with kicking AL's butt.

                              This thread had me smiling, too. Uni - Yippee!! Glad your biopsy came back negative and you have a cure in sight for the swollen throat. Really good news.

                              Disapproving. Loved the "Martha" comment!! LMAO!!

                              Everyone else, we are doing this ODAT. For those who didn't meet their goals, tomorrow is another day and we never look back. For those who did, yay!! and tomorrow is another day and we never look back.

                              We can do this. I made it today but know I must get up tomorrow and face it again. It should seem dreary but it seems like a great challenge and one I love to make. Everyday I stay sober, I feel like the scene in Rocky I where he finally makes it up the steps. Kind of silly, I know but it feels so good to lay down at night and know I did it yet again.
