Oh Blonde what beautiful pictures! They really captured our day very well.The dolphins were stunning. We were so lucky to swim with them. I have been collecting beach sand from every island that we have visited. It will be a great memory of this trip

Well tonight I am going to have something local...jamaican jerk chicken, fried plantain,rice and peas, and banana bread for dessert and their famous blue mountain coffee.

I hear that the steel band is playing tonight. How lovely!

I want to have that coconut shrimp someone talked about the other day for dinner tonight...and maybe the baked Alaska for dessert....and I have to admit I love the idea of a Shirley Temple -- I know they're for kids but I've always loved them.

Woke up refreshed if a little seasick, wasn't it a bit choppy aboard last night - hope there isn't a storm brewing - all calm and looks sunny this morning though, at least I can't blame AL for my queasiness for a change !

The photos are beautiful Blondie, really captured the magic of our experience! Did you enjoy dinner, can't believe you had your caesar 'sans anchovies' though - I love the little fishies!! My ackee and salt fish was to die for and the jerk chicken was delish also, not really a pudding person so I gave that a miss although the baked alaska sounded interesting (if a little retro ) Speaking of retro - Oh Mylife you were just the brilliant with your rendition of Abba's Waterloo and you looked amazing in your costume!!

Looking forward to our last day aboard, I fancy doing a bit of snorkelling - anyone care to join me?

Hello Cruisers!

So glad we got to get an extra day out of our cruise!!! I am still catching up with posting our glorious day yesterday in Jamacia...where do I begin??? The horseback riding on the beach was the highlight for me, as was the trip to Bob Marley's birth and resting place, Nine Mile. Yet another dream to come true on this cruise! I have a big sack of Blue Mountain Coffee beans to bring home with me, right from the plantation tour we took while on that beautiful island.

By the way, the talent show was very entertaining last night...yes, I agree, MyLife took the cake with Abba's Waterloo. What a fab show! And I had to taste the awesome Jerk Chicken...too die for. You just can't get it like that anywhere else!

First, we did some shopping for souvenirs for the folks back home...



I loved the quaint open markets and fruitstands...



I got some cool beach towels to take home from this little shack on the beach...



And here we picked up some speciman shells to remember our many walks on the beach during this cruise...



Then we hit our tours...coffee plantation, the Bob Marley reggae tour, the horseback riding on the beach tour...I am suprised I even was able to stay up for the nightly show!

Today, our last day, we were in the Bahamas! I cannot believe the wonderful weather we have had every day this trip...the sun certainly smiled on us the whole time! I will gather the photos from our day in the Bahamas and post them over the weekend, so please check back. Let me know what you thought of the cruise and what you might want to do next time?! Meanwhile, I hope everyone will hold on to the beautiful memories made on this cruise and the friendships too! It was so nice to share my week onboard with such a great, caring, fun and adventurous crew!

Lol, no problem for a king sized bed! Thank you all for joining me on the 7 days AF cruise on the SS MWO! it's been such a pleasure to get to know all of you onboard and it's given me great pratice at what imagining my next "real" vacation will be without AL! I'll be in touch with tickets for the next venue! For now, just a few beach shots of our reminder of the last day in the Bahamas...ahhh, it was all such a dream! PS, I'm all for inviting Sven along with us next time, hee hee!
