I was never able to have just one. NEVER. I always told myself "just one" but it never happened.
You know what I realized? I never even WANTED just one. That was a lie. If I'm going to drink, I want to get plastered. "One" NEVER cut it for me. Two never cut it for me either.
Zero is the only number that works for this girl.
I wish you the best. Tomorrow is another day - full of new choices.
DGSobriety Date = 5/22/08
Nicotine Free Date = 2/27/07
One day at a time.

Zero is the only number that has ever worked for me as well. Any other number always had a multiplier effect. Like DG said, tomorrow is a new day with new choices - good luck.2023 - focus, getting it done, and living the way it should be and being the person I need to be.

AZ, just wanted to say hello. Seems like your path is already decided. You can do it! Here is a link to the toolbox if you haven't already found it!

I try to think what my 10th drink felt like - all the messy, stupid, sleepy feelings and the waste of bloody time - not the 1st drink - it always felt lovely

Couldn't have said it better. One, two, ten, never enough unless you pass out. Looking back, how pathetic is passing out from drink? One of the things that keeps me going is remembering waking up from being passed out and how awful it felt.mollyka;1074155 wrote: I try to think what my 10th drink felt like - all the messy, stupid, sleepy feelings and the waste of bloody time - not the 1st drink - it always felt lovely
