    Sad news

    Hey all

My brother died last night. I don't live where most of my family lives. I did go there 3 weeks ago and we
all had dinner. I made it a point to sit by him. I got to show him video of my granddaughter and we laughed
a lot. SO glad I made that trip.

Drinking has not entered my mind. It takes a clear mind to get through things properly, in a mindful way.

    Thanks for being here.

    Ann

                        Re: Sad news

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate you guys. I spoke to Byrdie today and told her about my epic fail
eleven weeks ago, and what happened. It was good to tell someone.
My brother who died was a drunk for a long time but he had been sober for years.

My determination comes from thinking about the epic fail, and the miracle that ensued that somehow kept me safe and alive.
Not to mention the people I put in danger driving drunk! As I said to Byrdie-planning to drink and not drive ( stupid at any rate)
would be insanity since who the hell knows what I would do. And that's the key. I think I'd rather be in control of what I do for cryin'
                        out loud.

                        Peace and love

                        Ann
