Does anyone know if Doctor L. is prescribing again? I am 16 days into taking baclofen and it's working wonders so far. I would really like to get a legit script as the mail order thing is getting expensive (though admittedly cheaper than drinking).

Hi, rested. I don't know for sure that Dosage0 found a doctor, but I think he did. I DO know for sure that there are doctors who prescribe high dose baclofen in LA and Southern California. My suggestion, as difficult as this may be, is to google and call some psychiatrists in your area. Call and tell them you're interested in taking baclofen for your alcoholism/addiction and ask if they use that. It shouldn't take long to find someone and it should also be pretty easy to get an answer before you go to the trouble of an intake appointment. (God, how I hate those onerous and extremely expensive appointments. I can't wait until we figure out a better way to do this treatment thing.)

Anyway, I figure you are probably pretty skeptical, especially if you've read some of the threads around here lamenting treatment from doctors. But I really do KNOW that there are docs all over Cali who are using this medication, I just don't know their names.

I know through word of mouth that psychiatrists are using baclofen in Baltimore. I'm sorry that I don't have specifics for you, but I think if you call a psychiatrist with a specialization in addiction, you'll find baclofen.
