Kimberly, I am not looking to moderate, I have never said I want to moderate, I have no control over alcohol once I start drinking, I do not think I would ever be able to moderate and have no desire anyway to want to drink at safe levels ie 14 UK units per week.

Trust me, I don't want to be American. My father's mother was very sensible and made the reverse trip of her forebears, back to Wales.

I absolutely love red hair. In fact, I once went to a party wearing a ginger wig, everyone creased up, it was absolutely hilarious.:H Now I'm bald. Maybe it's God's punishment for mocking the afflicted. :badboy:

I always regret not going to live in New York for a year when I was young. Its the greatest "can-do" city in the world I think. Murphy yes I agree. I think thats why you did go bald. I wasn't suggesting you did want to mod - I was just using an example of people for whom AA may not be that suitable. I would never suggest that AA is the ONLY way for anyone to get better (shock, horror, coming from an AAer). I think it depends on what an individual needs.

AA combined with DBT therapy seems to have all the ingredients *I* need personally to get well and hopefully stay well over the longer term.
