Best of luck GG. Sometimes these terrible events make us even stronger people.

        I WAS ARRESTED LAST NIGHT

Glad to hear your head is in a better place now, GG.
You will come through all of this just fine, but you will never forget it. As Flip said........just think how much worse could have happened, be thankful it didn`t and use this incident to allow you to commit wholeheartedly to your sobriety.........you are worth it.

GG, are you OK? I know that anything over the limit in the UK means a minimum 12 month ban.

I did take a cursory look into the 'specialist' lawyer brigade but unless you are 'innocent' by some error you cannot escape the punishment.

Personally I found being fully compliant, honesty and providing evidence that you are trying to help yourself meant more to the magistrates than any fancy lawyer - I could have bought some bigshot but the 'duty' solicitor (legal or free guy at court) was excellent on the day for me.

                I WAS ARRESTED LAST NIGHT

GG I feel for you. Like everyone said, you will get through this. It's an emotional time right now.

I was arrested in Feburary. My long-term boyfriend of 12 years broke up with me to marry the girl he was an affair with. It devasted me. After a night out drinking, I drove to his house to talk to him. They were there together naked. I freaked out and called them names. The police came and I got arrested. Luckily they did not arrest me with a DUI also, but they could have. I got a Domestic Violance charge. The reason I am telling you this, is that I'm okay. I made it though it. Going to court is scary. It's your first offense hopefully that will help (get a good attorney!). I had to take DV and alcohol classes. I just finished and the case will be dismissed soon. I learned a lot from the experience. I've learned to be accountable and I'm learning to drink in moderation. I will not drink and drive. One night in jail scared me!

Hang in there - you WILL get through this. I know you are in a scary place right now.. but just keep moving forward and take it one day at a time!!

                    Thinking of you...

Hi Garden Girl. I've been absent for over 1.5 months and so I just now read of this trouble. I'm so sorry this has happened. I hope you are doing OK. As others have said - what a blessing as this situation could have turned out so much worse.

My hand is out to you as we all work together on sobriety. It's so very important.

                    Hugs..
