The kids got a huge kick out of them, and hearing their laughter is always a joy. I pushed for putting the two little guys to bed at 10:00, leading to a little more stress with hubby. We agreed to let our nine year old stay up until midnight, which ultimately meant that hubby fell asleep by 10:30, and my son and I watched multiple episodes of The Three Stooges. I probably could have enjoyed that, except that I was tired and a little annoyed that this was how the evening turned out. I guess I might have liked a little romance, but it never comes along when I envision it, only when I least expect it. Maybe that's life with little kids.
