            LOL! I only put a zero because hubby wouldn't let me get beer! I really wanted a drink last night.

            Decided I'm going to try and get through this month without asking for AL. Well maybe I need to take it one day at a time bearing that in mind. I think Gyco once mentioned that there are plenty of occasions in the year where there are opportunities to have a moderate drink. Sometimes I think there's something in my brain that says, 'If I don't drink now, I might never again! Arrrrrrrrgh!'

              Just got back from Lent Group and the subject was refreshment - liquid in particular!!! Is this a conspiracy? All I could think of was cold white wine, beer, g&t (obviously should be water and preferably living).

              Still sticking with the plan for tonight and a zero to post tomorrow.

                  Nail that "zero" down...

                  MM,
                  As soon as I know that it is unlikely that I'll drink on a certain day,
                  or if I need a little more incentive;
                  I put down my zero on DrinkTracker.
                  Usually my witching hour is around 5 o'clock.
                  If I get past my urge, then I put down my zero.
                  There's no way I'm going to go to the store, buy alcohol,
                  drink it, and go back like a worm and have to change the number!
                  Give yourself credit as soon as you know the day is in the bag.
                  Those "zeros" are very motivating when you look at them the next day.
                  Get a handle on this month before things get away from you.

                        Another inspiration...

                        A few threads up on the menu, you will see the "Monthly Moderation" thread on the left side.
                        A sub thread under that is "I will not drink today because..." started by Sara.
                        It is not often visible off the the right because that stupid "Word Association Game" has gotten stuck in the Moderation thread somehow; but it's there...
                        Put down your reason.."I will not drink today because..." and then
                        YOU'RE STUCK!! You can't drink today!!!

                              Hey guys,
                              Had out of town dinner guests last night so my drinking was planned. I keep forgetting to take the supps on planned drinking days!! Not a good idea!!
                              So, I guess I have to post 3 as we had 2 bottles between the four of us and my glass would get "topped off" as the wine pourer had the bottle in hand. Maybe with the supps I could have said...no thanks - don't top me off"? Anyway know it ended up being more than 2 but not more than 3. At least I kept to the 3 which I've allowed myself grace for. Really find I don't like going over the 2 though so I still have to work on that when the wine is flowing.
                              A little disappointed as so many people are talking about making this month their new fresh start and I kind of blew it starting out. Oh well, will just have to get back up on the horse and make a run for it again.
                              At least the casino party tomorrow night has 2 tickets at the door (J-Vo twin you love that one!) so you really have to make a conscious effort to go over the limit. We'll try to be keeping that night down to two!
