I can't get there when I have been drinking. I am MF in 40s, fyi.
Hubby says he doesn't want to do it anymore with me at night because it is too much work.
Mornings are ok.
Hoping without AL it will sometimes be ok during evening.
Feeling sad about it,

I can definitely sympathize. My ex told me the same thing , that it was way better when I was sober than drinking.:blush: Unfortunately I was only sober maybe 18 months total (a lot of different times, not all at once), out of 18 years of being together. Sometimes I think mornings are also better because we're all sometimes tired and maybe a little tense and cranky at the end of the day. Not all that surprising we turn to drink. Remember this whole process is small steps, so we don't want to beat up on ourselves, especially when we're feeling down. You're still young, and you can and will make it better.:h

This whole topic gives men and women both one more really good reason to quit.

It reminds me of attending a NASCAR event, where you see quite a few beer guts. Everyone at NASCAR races shows their driver support by wearing hats and T-shirts with the team sponsor, number, logo, etc. I remember snickering as I walked behind one of these gentleman who was a wearing a jacket with his driver's sponsor VIAGRA in giant letters across the back, and thinking why would he advertise his, um, problem. Guess he was still supporting one of the beer cars as well!!!
