      Happy Sunday Mick & everyone!

It’s sunny & hot here - knew summer would return as it always does. I just put a peach pie in the oven so at least we’ll be well fed. Everyone is out cutting grass because the Eagles football game starts at 4 pm, Lol

Mick, glad you found your happy place & please feel free to send any extra dampness this way. Our ground is dry & hard, the flowers are dying back quickly.

Ihope everyone else is OK & having a good day. Will check in later!

Mae all - sorry to be away. I am basically fine, but work has been rather difficult, and I don’t have a lot of patience anymore. I expect I am handling a bit of a depressive dip.. I will get myself out of it. I just did some cleaning out, took the recycling to the collection place (things were overflowing.)
Got home just in time to watch a huge thunderstorm roll through - crashing thunder, dramatic lightening, the streets temporarily flooded… so glad I watched it from my 2nd story balcony windows!
Just got off the phone with a life-long friend - a pianist - we went together to study in England at the Britten-Pears school, and up to Banff for one summer of study. She has learned that she has a brain tumor - a ‘menengioma’ and she was telling me about next steps in her journey.
She lives in Minnesota, where I used to live, so even now if she needs me, I will go up to be with her. This Wednesday they’ll do a dye/CT. Then in a couple of weeks she’ll meet her doc at the U of MN and have an MRI.
So I have been thinking a lot about her journey, and our past together, and I guess just about life in general…
I have tomorrow off until 3 when I go to doggy day care, so I’m putting off cleaning until tomorrow .
Sending good wishes to all, and I’ll try to reply to all your activities in my next post soon…
        Cheers,
        TG

Cyn, so glad you dropped in, have been thinking of you constantly. The mood shift is a natural thing with so many big things happening all at once. I love clearing out unused stuff, always gives me a positive boost too. I truly hope your friend is comfortable & receives the best care possible. I also have a friend dealing with a new Dx of pancreatic cancer. Can’t stop thinking about her. Stay strong, everything will get better, as always ❤️

Morning all from a wet and windy Norfolk broads. Blowing a Hooley during the night, but eased off slightly now.despite that ..i love this place. Back is playing me up a bit but nothing major. We are going out for a walk later on.
we go back on Wednesday, I've a list of jobs a mile long to do..Bonnie is doing well at Amy's.

Hiya teegee how are you feeling? Hope you have come out of your downer mood..we all go through them,it's a case of pulling yourself out of them.
when you said you went to Banff..is that the one in Canada or Scotland?you take care of yourself.

Hiya Lav..how are you doing?hope all is well.did you see the marches in London over the weekend?the media are trying to play it down..over 1.5 million people marched..and of course the government are trying to put the racist slant on it.its not about creed or colour..but about the policy of letting people into the country..giving them unbelievable handouts whilst our own starve.its about saying health services can't cope whilst allowing more into the country. It not about who what they are simply logistics. If you want to stop a sink overflowing you can't do it with the tap still running...nuff said. Plenty of rain here for you.
            Hope you haveca good day.

Hiya everyone else hope you are good

              MAE all -
Ted, I love living vicariously through your travels. It all sounds marvelous!
Kathy, sorry about your water situation… it’s so hard when the flowers are struggling. I hope you get some rain soon.
We had a bruiser of a storm yesterday - quite unexpected, it blew up in a hurry and unleashed tons of water seemingly all at once.
When I look out from my balcony, I can see the major intersection which usually floods in these extreme storms… sure enough, cars were dealing with pools of water up to their doors… I’m sure there were some wet floors to contend with!

I am still a bit in limbo about future plans, but I am
working toward the goal of letting go of things that no longer serve me… clothing, furniture, objects, books. It feels good to clear out… and it will make me “lighter on my feet” for if/when I make a housing/life change…
              Wishing all well today…

Good afternoon kids & Happy Monday

Mostly sunny & warm, rain on the way maybe tomorrow they say, we’ll see. I’m making ‘baked ziti’ in the Instant Pot, quick & easy & feeds us for days, haha. I air fried chicken nuggets yesterday so have lots of them leftover as well.

Ted, I’ll glad accept. your gift of rain, thanks! funny that you’re having the weather I wish we were having, Lol
Glad Bonnie likes her new vacay spot & you don’t have to worry about her. I did see the news coverage of the London protests, wow. It seems all countries need to do something about immigration & put a stop to it sooner than later.

Cyn, happy to see you thinking your way thru things. Lightening the load will help, for sure. None of us know what the future holds so we have to do ‘something’ to prepare, right?
It’s hard to see the right path for each & every one of us. thinking of you, always.

                Hello to PQ & Pie.

                Will check in later.

Just took a walk around our jungle like ‘meadow’ we created years ago & found tons of Canada goldenrod growing in there. My plant finder app says it doesn’t cause allergies like ragweed but I’m not so sure, Lol

Hope everyone has had a good day!

MAE ALL......cool overcast day today and quite windy. Busy work day, finished my forensic accounting task, lots of booking requests, which we have no room for, and program changes by both clients and instructors. So a bit late getting out of there tonight. I'm off at 2:00pm tomorrow, need to use up some time-in-leu time before starting to rack it back up this weekend.

TG...sorry to hear about your life-long friend, it seems like we're all at that age when things start going pear shaped. Good job avoiding the thunderstorm yesterday, I'm a little jealous. LOL Hope you're feeling better.

Mick...I didn't know there was a Banff in Scotland. I too saw the marches on the news, wow there was a lot of people! Hope you got out for your walk and that your back is better. Sorry you're not getting the best of weather. STOP making job lists!

Lav...I had to look up baked ziti, looks like something I could actually make. LOL Canada Goldenrod may not cause allergies but it is considered an invasive plant. There forecasting rain south and east of us so you may actually get some. Haha I've been putting off updating my will, last one (I don't even have a copy) was made when I was still married. I must get on it, taking your advice to TG about preparing for the future.

That's all my news for now. Have a good night all....PQ

Mae all how are we doing?hope all is well with everyone. Not raining here but very blowy. We walked a good distance yesterday. And that was by accident!we were walking to one place and took the wrong turn. Don't know what we are doing today. Home tomorrow and tbh I am ready for it .quite a few jobs to be doing .
hiya ppqp The Canadian town and park of Banff get their names from Banffshire, Scotland, the birthplace of George Stephen, president of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR). Stephen, along with his cousin and business partner Donald Smith (Lord Strathcona), established the area around the CPR hot springs and named the town in tribute to his Scottish homeland in 1884. ..see you learn every day!!!!..so you finish at 2 today,? Something specific or are you just burning off toil?

Hiya teegee how are you doing?hope all is well. Have your storms gone?more to the point are you taking it easy?

Hiya Lav.hows you doing?we passed a garden yesterday and it has masses of lavender. The wind was blowing and you could smell it had to look up Canadian rod ...similar to ragwort over here. Hope you have a great day..

Hiya pie how are you doing today?hope all is good.

Right folks time for a brew. Cheery bye
