Good afternoon all and how are we today then hope everyone is doing okay. Just be not to the garden center to get some compost I reinstated the border on one side of the back garden that had been full of some sort of weed like watercress I'm full of the cold cotton from Eloise Who had it and passed it on when I picked her up when I picked Bonnie up. It's absolutely hammered down with rain last night saw the ground is still pretty wet which means I'm not cutting the grass on the banking today. Next week is quite a busy week Monday we've got the television engineers coming Tuesday plumber coming Wednesday Julie possibly going back to Oldham to see her friends Thursday looking after Eloise while Amy does her module updates for going back to work which I add she is not looking forward to I think she was under the illusion that she could retire at 35 not quite so apart from that not really a lot going on still waiting for my mate to finish the work He is doing currently and come over and start on our wall properly waiting for the van to go to the repair shop but again I have had a price for that job either and that's the grand total of my weekend exciting stuff look after yourself and take care everyone

Cloudy here this morning, sun due to return later. Looking at the long range forecast, next weekend’s craft fair may be wet, uh oh. That makes for a long & miserable day.

Mick, sorry you feeling under the weather. You will build immunity handling grandchildren, trust me Lol
Your upcoming week sounds good & busy. Hope everything works out OK. I worked. Part time when my kids were little because daycare options here are not so great. I think we invented Daddycare, haha. When you come home from work you take care of the kids. It wasn’t easy with rotating shifts, etc. i was happy to get back to work after my kids were born, missed talking to adults!!!

morning Lav and everyone else ...how are we doing today then? hope all is good. I feel like a bag of spanners this morning ..coughing spluttering everywhere..bit of a rest day today ...managed to get the border cut into the edge of the back garden yesterday....ok only 6 inches wide but its 65 feet long ..cut it out dug it lined it and filled it with compost mix .let it settle then fill it with mixed daffs.Just waiting on the television engineer coming ...a timescale of between o8.30 and 1 pm ..I was going to go to Blacktoft but dont feel up to it Nice sunny day out there but there is no heat in the sun

Monday afternoon & the first day of FALL, yay!!!
Sunny & 75 degrees, not bad at all except for all the allergens floating around out there. Looks like possible rain for the next 4 days. Just hope Saturday remains dry for the craft fair.

Mick, hope you feel better soon, take it easy for a day or two. If that's even possible LOL
the daffs will be awesome next Spring.

I need to get serious about packing up embroidery & making sure I have everything ready to go early Saturday morning. So that’s where I’ll be for the next few days, in my shop area & hopefully getting some cleaning & organizing done as well.

MAE ALL....our warm sunny weather continues. We are without our building superintendent all week, he's on vacation back in Jamaica checking on his dad. It does add a bit more to my routine in the morning but I make the boss do everything else when he gets in. LOL cc director called the claims people this morning before our meeting with the boss. Of course we were right, everything she did was wrong. So now I'm fixing her errors so we can get a claim adjustment in and hopefully start getting the correct funds from the government. She said it'll take 10 times more work on her end. My thought was then I won't have to spend 4 days reconciling accounts. Sent a Rant email to the boss just to vent.

Mick...hope you're feeling better soon, now take it easy and let your body heal.

Lav...is your craft fair outdoors? I remember one of them was before. We just won't be able to see any pics on Facebook this time. This must be a good time to do some sorting and organizing while getting ready.

PQ, sounds like it might be time to replace the CC Director with someone who can actually do the job, geez!! does your boss have the ability to replace her? Just wondering!
Yes, this is a big outdoor craft fair, I am one of 80 vendors, wow. they have live music acts & food trucks to keep people happy & fed too. hope it's a dry day for everyone's sake.

mae all...02.53am...coughing like a good un..sneezing and coughing ...my head is thumping .its just a cold but Eloise has managed to give itto everyone ...except Julie atm/so its a case of sleep when I can .Internet fixed ...he was here about 10 minutes....going on about cell locks etc ...not the kind I know!
hiya Lav ..yes you are right ...I was intending to rest yesterday ...but failed a bit ...though in my defence I didn't kick the ass out of it .Started the first part of my wildlife garden for bird photography. Redesigned the wooden hut in the garden ..well too the window out ,boarded up and cut an opening with a hinged observation point. Ive still got to make the ledge inside and tweak it.I hope it all goes well at the craft fair for you.

hiya ppqp..how are you doing? it sounds like you are being the fall person for the cc director and the boss too..She really is taking the mick...either that or not up to the job .ok I understand that your boss might not be able to whizz her out the door just like that ...but she should at least be on performance monitoring and then all the other hoops that have to be jumped through nowadays ..may sound harsh. But someone has got to unpick and fix her mistakes ..and that seems to be you. Whether you realise it or not that causes stress ...and we all know where that leads to ...so you have a duty of care to your good self.it isnt a rant ,just looking out for you.hopefully tomorrow she can fix her own mistakes .Have a good night ? is it night ..

our internet company is out front hanging fiber optic cable, they will hook us up in a few days. It’s supposed to be the latest thing - we’ll see I guess.

Hi guys....very hot day today, where's our fall Lav! It was a quiet day, mostly working on childcare stuff. In the cc directors defense I have to say that I experienced some of the things she had been telling me. i.e. she would enter the start and end date of a registration and the next time she looked it would be changed. I found that very hard to believe until it happened to me. Of course being me it was a mystery to figure out why, which I did, and then explained it to her. There's always a reason things happen or it's a bug in the program. This is a brand new government portal so there's bound to be hiccups. I just don't trust her to be diligent in her data entry. Enough of that.

Mick...at 2:53am I can see why you'd think it was night. LOL Wow, you really got hit with that cold. Heed Lav's advise and take care of yourself. CC Director is definitely on performance monitoring. Actually had my first one-on-one meeting today for the start of the new fiscal year. Boss is very aware of what's going on and is always checking on how I'm doing, He doesn't want me getting stressed out because at that point I just say "F" it to everything. lol I gave him his list of things to deal with. When I asked him if he had anything for me he said nope.

Lav...yes, the boss can replace her with a snap of his fingers, he's done it in the past. The plan of hiring an assistant cc director is that person would do most of the administration work that the director is challenged in. Now that I typed that I should insist on being in the job interviews because I know the type of person that is required. LOL I'm not letting them get to me and will speak up if I'm feeling used. I like the relationship I have with the boss. Is this the same outdoor craft fair that you were at before. Great idea with having live music and food trucks, it's a real outdoor fair. Couldn't do that in November and we don't have the outdoor space to handle it anyways. I'll keep my fingers crossed for good weather. BTW - Fiber Optics is the way to go. You'll see a big difference once it's installed.

One of the boys just made nacho's so I'm stealing some. Haven't had them in ages. Have a good night...PQ

And good afternoon everyone how are we today then? Hope all is well. Feeling a bit better today definitely still not anywhere near 100% but on the road. Still coughing but not as much and it definitely isn't as painful. Julie is a way down to Oldham to meet up with her friends they are going for a walk and then something to eat afterwards. She said it was a straight run down this morning and only took an hour and a half. She went past our old house no difference whatsoever apart from the flowers in the hanging baskets I left were dead. Been working on my bird hide this morning and digging a couple of posts in and painted the wood. Just been to Screwfix don't know whether you've got that over your place but it is a tool Warehouse. Just bought a wheelbarrow I settling need one the amount of grass cuttings I take off and the soil and stone chippings I am moving about. Apart from that not a lot going on over here at the moment if I'm feeling better at the weekend we are going to go into Lincoln City itself for the day it dates back to Roman times it was called lindum and there are still buildings and remnants of it around. There is a beautiful Cathedral which dates back to 1087 I have heard the acoustics in it and they really do resonate. Plus that is a really good tapas bar there.

Hope all is well with you yes there are definitely glitches in computer programs etc you all have to look at the post office Scandal from over here to work that out but the point is and you said it yourself she in your opinion is not diligent enough with her figures and cannot be trusted therefore if that's part of her job then who's going to do it? I definitely think you should be on any interview panel otherwise you will get lemoned with any work that they don't do. Anyway it's nearly the weekend so take it easy and look after yourself

Hiya lav how are you doing today then hope all is well over there. I slept a bit better last night and didn't have to get up during the night through coughing fits. I found something out this morning which although sound really boring iPhone interesting I boiled four eggs this morning three white shelled ones and one Brown one. The white ones peeled absolutely so so simple it was unbelievable the brown one not so and none of the eggs which I usually Brown are any good for peeling. Don't know why it is but there we go. Are you ready for the craft fair at the weekend? Hope everything goes well for you

Good afternoon kids, we started out with clouds & fog, then sun arrived & now it’s gone again. OK, whatever! Only got a tiny bit of rain last night, more due to arrive tonight. We need it badly.

PQ, I’m glad you have a good working relationship with the boss, it makes a huge difference. This craft fair is the 1st of it’s kind put on by the Chamber of Commerce in our area. It’s replacing the one I did the past few years that had been run by the Presbyterian Church. Guess they had enough, that’s OK. So it will be the same as what I have been doing but much bigger! Right now there’s a 35% chance of rain Saturday, boo hiss.

Mick, glad you are on the road to recovery. I hope Julie’s trip went well.
With the fresh brown eggs I have found you need to use ‘older eggs’ if you want to hard boil them & adding vinegar to the boiling water is supposed to be helpful. They can be done in the IP too, makes peeling a little easier. I think I have everything ready for Saturday but there’s always last minute things that come to mind. The guy from the cable company came at 8 am to get us hooked up to the fiber optic line. So far so good & this should require fewer service calls in the future. We have a store called “Harbor Freight’ here that sounds like your store. We were just there yesterday to pick up a drill bit for a future job. I think everything the sell is from China haha!
