Late afternoon here, just sitting down for a minute. Busy doing whatever today & prepping for the big storm approaching tomorrow & Monday. Looks like the east coast is going to take a hard hit. Thinking of Byrdie of course.
Hit the stores earlier for necessities & now baking a big Tuscan chicken & orzo casserole that should hold us over for a few days. Fun times as always.

Mick, I remember Oct. ‘79 because I had a busy 3 yr old on my hands, LOL nothing else going on this weekend, just getting thru the storms on the way. Hope yuo were able to get some pics. PQ did contact me on WhatsApp yesterday, now we need to get the others on.

MAE ALL...late check in for me too. Out this morning the get the fixing for a chicken dinner for tonight (I refuse to cook a turnkey) and then homemade chicken soup for tomorrow and Monday as our storm is rolling in as I type and we're under a snowfall warning!! Still figuring out WhatsApp, can't get my name to show instead of my phone number. Oh well, will figure it out. I think it'll be easier for the others to join the group than try to connect individually, but what do I know, still learning. Will check in tomorrow either way. Have a good night...PPQP

Good afternoon everyone!
We have clouds & it’s been windy but the real storm effects will be tonight into tomorrow. I’m wondering how messed up the air flights are going to be due to weather, & government shutdown limiting the number of TSA & flight controllers working. Hope it gets caught up by Wednesday evening when we are due to go.

Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow PQ! I roasted a turkey breast this morning. In your honor, haha!! We eat them a lot.
Guess I could try putting together a group chat using your phone # - might work. I’ll look at that later. Hope your weather is kind to you.

Mick, remember RICE for your foot - rest, ice, compression, elevation. Sorry it takes so long to heal these things.
I still have a ton of stuff to clear out of my gardens before it really gets cold. I kinda got thrown off with the muscle pull stuff last month. I’ll get to it eventually. Glad Julie gets good play time with Eloise.

And good afternoon to everyone how are we doing today then? Hope everyone is doing okay who stop Julie is over at Amy's babysitting for Eloise she left this morning at 6:30 a.m. when she suddenly told me that the oil delivery might be here today or tomorrow that's scotched my plans up completely. So instead I've done a little bit in the garden cleaned some bricks knocked the other wall down cleared it up then made a bit more on my path in the wildlife garden and also painted the fence Green. I then manage to fix my table saw which is good. I use it quite a lot and didn't really want to replace it so a piece of plastic drain pipe cut and made to fit now does the job. I'm trying to talk to text this but it isn't working obviously it doesn't understand the Scots accent. I end up typing most of it again anyway really foggy again this morning and it hasn't cleared yet it is now 12 15. The rest of the day is settle down time.
hiya lav how are you doing today then? Has the winds died down? Hope it settles down for Wednesday for you. I take it your packed and ready to go? Really enjoy yourself don't know if it still applies but I remember looking at the plane window before we landed and saw a couple of live volcanoes.

Hi all - sorry for the absence… did I tell you I had a concussion at work? I apologize for being out of touch… things have been pretty fuzzy. Though I am still feeling the effects of my concussion, I decided to make a quick trip to Santa Fe, NM to see my step-daughter on her birthday.
I accomplished the flights there and back OK - a couple of close calls when my watch wasn’t on the correct time zone, and once when I just kind of ‘zoned out’ before the final flight. Fortunately I was eating at a cafe right next to my gate when I realized that they were calling my flight! I DID do a good job of taking photos of where I had parked my car in the parking garage… I found it right away, and could find my “exit” ticket, whew.
Just now having a quiet morning and a coffee… figuring out if I can get up to MN to be with a friend who has been diagnosed with brain cancer… yikes. She wants to do some ‘Swedish Death Cleaning’ (it’s a little book on how to let things go…)
I hope all are well… sending best wishes…

Good afternoon all. It’s been an exciting Monday so far including trips to the dentist, Walmart & the vet to pick up meds haha! Still very cloudy here with light rain showers but the winds have died down. Driving around I didn’t see any evidence of storm damage.

Mick, like me you always find something to do when you have to stay home.
Good job fixing the table saw, useful tool for sure. I wouldn’t mind seeing volcanoes from the plane window but I don’t want to get much closer Lol. Don’t think I can run fast enough these days!

Cyn, great to see your message, thanks for doing that Mick.
so sorry to hear about the concussion - was it due to a fall or something else? It really takes a good bit of time to get yourself right after that, have been there & done it too. Can’t believe you traveled so soon after. You must have a very strong will but I think we already know that. I am somewhat familiar with the Swedish death cleaning. If you do go to MN, please take care of yourself. We’ve missed your voice here.
