Good morning. For some reason my profile was messed up, I could not access my password after numerous tries, so I just created a new name.

I was redhibiscus, now stargazerlily, Appropriate, a new name for a new life.

Just wanted to share something kind of scary. Last night on the way home from my day trip, I was 1)hungry, 2)tired 3)it was between 4 and 7, my witching hours. Thoughts and cravings started really intensely. They lasted for over half an hour. Luckily my husband stood firm and said, no drinking, let's eat. So we did, and the cravings disappeared. I am so thankful for the support. Or, I am telling you, I would have drank. One trigger I can handle. but all three, I needed support.

I realize that I am just one drink away from caving. You know, you get a little time AF, you are feeling good, saying and doing all the right things. You get not cocky, but your guard is down and then BAM, your triggers hit and you have to have a plan in place.

Today I am grateful to be AF 22 days. I commit to being AF today.

Good morning thread
I'm about to head out to my first marathon training run. Signed up for a 30 week training course culminating in a marathon. Their goal is to finish a marathon (time is not an issue). Am hoping I'm not the oldest runner, but I guess somebody's got to be the oldest.

Stargazerlily, I like it. Is there really a lily called stargazer?
Am happy to hear about your narrow escape last night. Just think how sad and low you would feel this morning. It's good you had the support and you've got a lot of self determination going on too.
I've asked you this before, what time do you get up in the morning? Seems you are always the first one here. I too am a very early riser.

Time to get myself out the door. Think we should do another mass chat room visit one of these days.

Hi Marchers. I am so glad you made it through, Red, for me it always been a series of moments like that rather than one big turnaround. Your new name is pretty and inspiring. I am at a bit of low point myself as I have as yet no near or distance vision in my left eye. I made arrangements to work tomorrow several weeks ago as I thought a challenge would help me psychologically and that I would be considerably better by now than I am. Lord Bird Heart is going to have to drive me the forty miles there and back which is not what I had in mind and I have arranged for a proof reader once I finish writing up the assignment. Right now it sounds more stressful than positive but I shall give it a shot. I would cry but it hurts. Good for you Shell, on joining up for the marathon; we have learned here a group makes things more likely than not. I look forward to sweet you practicing in our 'hood, up and down the hills, around all the trees. Hi, Lav, dear one, enjoy your family. Dill, I went to see Three 'Mo Tenors last night, their voices were glorious, hard to imagine people who sing so well operatically taking on the soul, blues, and spirituals in the same performance and pulling it off with equal credibility. If this is still the soup amongst other things thread, let me tell you I made a great one today. It was just sauted onion with loads and loads of wild garlic leaves cooked down and cooked down the whizzed. It was like thick and bright green. So nice like spinach soup with more flavour, kicked my circulation into a sweat and felt really healing.

Hello Marchers, sorry not posted yesterday, very busy with family stuff and just didn't have a minute. Enjoyed being taxi driver etc though!
Hope everyone is ok and looking forward to April. Spring may be on the calendar but we are in for another blast of winter this week -just when you think you can turn the heating down a bit .....
Hope to get on here tomorrow but if I don't I'm thinking about you all and wishing you lots of happiness.

Red, I hope things have settled down for you! I guess this goes to show we must remain vigilant forever........ I still say a sober life is worth any effort!

Raven, your soup sounds interesting! Are wild garlic leaves as strong as the cloves of garlic we usually use? It's cold & raining here now, I probably will be thinking of a pot of soup tomorrow!

Ah Sooty, will we ever see Spring????
