Good Afternoon Friends,

Sped-I can so appreciate how you must love the cooler weather. I was in AZ over the 4th of July 6 years ago and burned my hand on the handle of the car door at about 3 in the afternoon. No good! I am sure you will make your guests feel more than welcome in your home. I'd like to be a fly on the wall of that party. No hard hat for me at work this week!:happy::yay: I get to look feminine.....no Mennonite worker wear for this woman this week.

Mr. G-I think you should come to Wisconsin for part of your holiday and bring Sped with you....you could run along the Lake Path.....very scenic...fabulous homes, gardens, water....very soothing. You could bring Mrs. G, too...BTW, G, is there a MRS. G? Oh, I'm being naughty and nosy. I'm dying to know. I'm writing an article for the MWO Daily Mail. :H

John, how are you feeling? Are you in any pain? I've never taken Percoset but I hear it works reallly well. Are you keeping your mind occupied while recuperating?

Hey Folks:

Yes, I am following orders from Nurse Lav and have been drinking LOTS of water today and adding flax to my yogurt for extra fiber :H I am hoping to wean myself off the percocet tomorrow.

I napped on and off today but managed to finish 2 crossword puzzles and read a chapter in the book that I started last weekend, "Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet' by Jamie Ford. My bedroom is stocked with books, music, food, etc. so I have lots to keep me occupied!

Lav - sorry your little chickadees didn't arrive today... maybe tomorrow?

September Serenity - Week 2

Late check in today after not making it on at all yesterday. I have taken on some extra work to reseed financially after having spent a bunch of my emergency money in the past two weeks. I am so fortunate that I can work, what a blessing right up there with love. I shall be relieved when my house is not in disarray but that will not be tomorrow as the new furnaces begin to go in while Lord Bird Heart?s utility room jamboree will be a work in progress for some "weeks". Welcome home John, you will heal so fast now that you are not drinking, all of those natural processes and little internal construction and remodeling guys can focus on what they evolved to do rather than get side tracked. Shelley, I anticipate news of the wedding, your house will be increasingly lively with its approach, and the Bed and Breakfast analogy is perfect, I imagine particularly a nice plate of cookies. If you get anxious, I am sure there will be loads of advice here. I hope we can also have lunch before The Day so you can give me the inner details and dynamics. I love big life events. Speaking of weddings, thank you for the compliment, G., regarding the wedding of my daughter, but as I have no children, the wonderful post was that of our Stargazerlily. I shall have to catch up the rest of the way tomorrow as I have not done a single thing about dinner including going to the market for inspiration (insert little round yellow face with panic on it). September Serenity - Week 2

Happy New Moon everyone! I only know that it's today because my husband celebrates Rosh Hashana, which begins at sundown tonight. So, I am whirling around in a panic (LBH!) getting the table set and dishes prepared. Had to take the new-home-space-plan for my client off the dining room table to get ready to set the festive dishes (this laptop will be the next thing to go, and this is the last message for the night!). This is the holiday of the New Year (really a harvest holiday). Everyone wishes each other a good and sweet year - we dip slices of apple in honey for good fortune, and eat a round hallah, (among other dishes) symbolizing the wonderful circular nature of life. Lav - I sure could use your apple Challah right now - ours had to be store-bought this year, I've just been too swamped.

Good to hear you're doing so well, PA, keep it up. Congrats, Papmom. Love to everyone, and I'm wishing you all a good and sweet year as well -

thank you everyone for the kind words!! It feels really great to be AF this long when in Feb I couldn't even finish my own challenge on FB (now that was a stupid thing to do I tell ya!!)!

I hope to have more time tomorrow to post and catch up with everyone. I just got home from a dinner meeting and I'm beat.

Good morning everyone

Beautiful morning here and have just spent the last hour cleaning out the garage. We did a major clear out before the summer but it seemed to be full of junk again!! Did a major re-organisation as the garden furniture will soon have to be put away.

Papmom - Congratulations on 4 months that is wonderful.

Cyn - Rosh Hashana sounds wonderful. I love reading about all the different cultures.

Lav - Have the chicks arrived. Looking forward to hearing all about them.

Guitarista - Enjoy your hols.

John - I am sure you are glad to have the op over, sending you lots of positive vibes for recovery.

Sooty - Your walk with Mr Sooty sounds wonderful. I love to go on long walks with hubby. He does a lot of hill walking in the winter. Unfortunately I cant always go as my taxi service is needed!!

LBH -Hope you get your new furnaces installed ok today.

Rusty - Hope you are taking some time out in your hectic schedule.

I get a fun email every morning from "The Universe" and todays really made me smile so I thought I would share it.......

Oh yes I was in the post office at 8 am picking up my chicks:H:H

As soon as they settle down a bit I'll get some pics! The hatchery always includes an exotic chick. I don't know what breed he/she is but it kinda looks like a chinchilla right now :H Sticks out like a sore thumb surrounded by 25 Buff Orpintons.

Chill, an afternoon on the beach with a book sounds perfect - enjoy!

Rustop, I'm having a garage/yard sale on the 18th. Hope to get rid of a lot of stuff myself.

I hope everyone is having a good Thursday. We're all exceedingly happy here because daughter No2 passed her last part of her degree in Speech and Language Therapy yesterday so is now qualified. She has worked so hard and we're so proud of her.

Can't stop as gotta meet a friend I just wanted to share my good news with you all ... choir tonight but will try and log on later. Thinking of you all and hoping you're keeping safe
