Awesome paint job!! That really looks great, lav!! It IS nice and calm. Furniture looks good and I really like the nice chair and big window. Let's see the guest room for uninvited guests.

Place seeker and TDN, great to see you both. TDN, I hope rehab is everything you want it to be and even more! And AFM, I'm so glad you checked in and are doing well. We were just wondering about you!

LVT, I wish I'd been over on the prairie - I'd LOVE to go to a rodeo. I even looked for one near here and discovered they are mostly night-time events. Why is that? Heat?

FH was having his car towed to the shop because he couldn't back it out of the space & thought it was the transmission. Guy says, what about that front tire? FH says what about it? Guy says there isn't one. Someone stole his tire - the whole thing lug nuts and all. But when they let it down, since there was no tire, they had to leave their jack because it was stuck there, ha ha. Feckers. Stealing is just wrong. I hope KARMA KING swoops down on them and gives them a blowout in really miserable conditions - with no jack.

DG, Jimi Hendrix for insomnia....... erm... wellll..... have a double shot of expresso to go with? :H I want to go to kaslo's pool and listen to stories all day long too. I'll even bring a noodle. :H

Hello All,

Just popping in to say a quick Hello! It was a great AF weekend for me. It's been hard after being on vacation the last couple weeks to get back into the routine, but I think I'm finally getting there.

It's great to read all your posts and I'm still waiting to see what Lav makes with all those Cucumbers and Zucchini!

Hmmm...I had insomnia last night and the idea of Jimi Hendrix didn't even occur to me...maybe I'll try that next time!

Hi again! AFM - wonderful to read your post! Very happy for you WRT eldest daughter. (((AFM))) Good that your are working through your issues. I have been toying with the idea lately that I might see a counselor. Sobriety has been so good for me and I think I've gotten my head straightened around in many ways. Still have a few pieces of baggage from the past that have been hard to permanently put down. This has become very highlighted as my Dad's health continues to decline.

TDN - SO happy for you all checked into rehab. What a fabulous opportunity!!! I'm sure it's no 5 star hotel in terms of living situation. I hope you can look past all that and just focus on healing. ((((TDN)))) It's great you can check in here!!! I'm looking forward to hearing about your experience -whatever you might care to share.

Peace Seeking - I think you are going to fit right in here!

Lav - I LOVE your blue room!!! That is really a pretty color. My thoughts were like Greenie's - I LOVE the chair and the big window with the vase in front of it! I also like your new furniture.

Kaz - as far as the Mr.'s go, instead of harming ourselves by drinking over their crap, we should just get out the :b&d:. Yes? Lav? (It's a good thing Mr. Doggy sold that little piece of tin - I just found out how much he spent on an unceccessary project last month without discussion!!!!!! :grrr :b&d: indeed.

Greenie - I think the tire gods of the universe will right that wrong! Dang thieves! The story about FH trying to drive it reminds me of the time I got a flat in the big truck and kept right on driving thinking the engine was running rough. :egad: Had to replace the rim and everything.

Mylife - where did you go on vacation? You probably said but my memory is shot. I think I have very few remaining brain cells.

Well - I'm off to beddy by and hoping for better sleep tonight. Believe it or not, I missed the end of Jimi Hendrix! Maybe I will turn it back on for falling asleep tonight. :H

Another sober day comes to a close. Ahhhh.. Life's simple pleasures.

Greenie I have two more bedrooms -
One has a double bed, a toddler bed & a Pack-n-Play (for the infants to sleep in). That room can hold a lot of people :H The other bedroom has an antique set in it & is currently 'Girl Dog's' room. I couldn't keep her out of there so I just covered up the bed with her bedding. She's old & I really don't care much. I do intend to paint those rooms someday.

mylife, I keeping eating & giving away veggies but they just keep coming. I've looked online for a place to donate them but haven't come up with anything. I pretty much live in the middle of nowhere It is hard getting back into the swing of things after vacation - good luck

DG, hindsight is 20/20 I know but I really wish I had taken a different path dealing with YB's crazy ass behavior. The only thing is I fell into such a damn depression I didn't really care if I harmed myself drinking ~ I just wanted the numbness. I'm starting to think I really want to :b&d: his ass now :H

I need to get myself to bed earlier than usual (but that probably won't happen). I have guys showing up here at 8 am to install a new secuirity system. The original one never worked properly. Guess who will be paying the bill for that? Not me :H

Lav-Divine!! Absolutely Divine!! It looks so soft and soothing! I think you're going to sleep well tonite. Smudge it just to be sure!! Can you please tell me the brand and name of the color? I think I just found the right blue for my room!

DG-go for the counselor. I love going to mine even tho I don't think we're accomplishing anything but I'm not sure what my goal is anyway. I just like going and talking. What is this soft cover for the PU you were talking about for the dogs? Just in case I end up buying a PU myself. Considering it but not sure yet.

Mylife-welcome back from ALASKA (there ya go DG). Glad to hear you are settling back in but take your time!! You had quite an emotional trip and you need to decompress.

Welcome PC and TDN. Good luck to both of you and stick close. We're crazy and fun and serious about sobriety. You'll like us, really!!

Kas-looks like you'll have a full house soon for laying around the pool listening to your stories!! That private jet better stop in New England and points south LOL!! (no more smilies left).

Good day at work (boss man out!) and at class was able to get the quilt top row peices sewn together. Next week I piece the whole top together then 2 more weeks and it will be done! I'll take a pic before I send it off to get quilted. Love love love my new sewing machine!!!
